Watching the downfall of the UK from afar is quite an entertaining and educational experience. The "comeback" of either Truss or Johnson indeed would be another hilarious plot twist. Just when you think they could not go any lower anymore, UK politicians show they can indeed.
Why is watching fellow human beings suffer entertaining? It's time to get your head looked at mate. You shouldn't believe everything you see or read, day to day life is nothing like you seem to think it is.
Why would it be a downfall? All the Tories are ensuring through their shenanigans is a healthy mandate for Sir Keir in 2024. If anything, this is a great service to the Crown.
Remember that the Tory Party members did not vote for Sunak, they wanted Truss and the rules had to be changed so that Sunak could be appointed. The Tory Party members want to continue their long-term policy of hollowing out the country and putting the money in their own pockets, and that was exactly what Truss tried to do.
@@tonyb9735 All very true. But given how risible Truss's time as PM was, it's doubtful even many Tories have that kind of death wish. Though of course, it pays not to underestimate the average Tory's capacity for selfishness and greed.
For God’s sake. This government has no mandate to govern and is incapable of it it any event. Self serving and utterly out of touch is the best that could be said of them. Their sole motivation is to cling to the baubles of power for as long as they can and the national interest be damned. Out now!
And end up with Labour... Only solution is to get away from the establishment Party's... Only mainstream Political Party with any real policies is Reform... But people will never realise that as they are far too brainwashed. Of course this all assumes that Reform could actually deliver... They would have massive resistance to everything they want to do. Odd given that what they are saying is the best way forward for the UK and it's people!
Sunak could silence a lot of the nonsense in the Tory party by just declaring that if it goes too far he'll call a general election. The skanky Tory MPs know exactly what that will mean for them.
Outside of riots and mass civil disobedience they'll ride it out until the next election. It would be suicide for them to call an election now I mean, they SHOULD but that's the greed of politicians and power for you
Rhinoceros hide or no, Truss has serious delusions of adequacy. She had to go not only because of the dud mini budget but because she was demonstrably incompetent. She just couldn’t hack it - no policy nous, hopeless judgement about people and a terrible communicator. All she could do was speak the Tory member gallery.
Remember Brexit? Also look up the Zinoviev Letter (confirmed forgery) for another episode in Conservatives gaslighting the gullible public, it's quite a tradition!
What worries me is that some psephologist finally gets them to sit down and digest the projected results or has already done so. The reason they devote so much energy to all this internal strife is that they reckon they can gerrymander or outright defy the electorate at the next election so the only real electorate is who can impress the Conservative party membership. Facing demographic extinction? They don’t care. We have an election. They employ MAGA’s big lie tactics and refuse to concede. We take to the streets to protest. Oh is there some new legislation that will criminalise us? Truss. Trying to convince people her policies were correct but poorly timed. Oh, and she didn’t know about the financial entities that would invoke the run on pensions. What gives that the lie is that she and Kwarteng’s first act was to sack the senior civil servant at the treasury that would have opposed them.
A GE is urgently needed to remove this appalling sorry excuse for a government who have brought the country to it's knees. It's a circus, an international joke. Enough is enough.
Can this Government get any worse - I think it's time the British citizens had something to say. In fact it's time the political system was brought up to the twentieth century.
Tory Wars... ? never ! hahaha Tory Bores YES - especially Boreus Johnson (sic) who needs to be kept as far away from No 10 as possible. It beggars belief that people can even talk about him returning to Office - a LIAR ? ! for goodness sake Little Britain GROW UP.
Yet now they advocate them... Not following the news are you! Sunak and Hunt's policies are now being called out as very bad! (But then they always were).
@@AaaaandAction Actually she is a danger. But not to "international movers and shakers" but to everyone in the UK. She already cost every single person in the UK thousands of pounds. However, I'd appreciate her "comeback". Sunak is boring and I have a perverted fascination watching the downfall of the UK from afar. So far it has been first class entertainment.
Why are they talking about Johnson and Truss then? Even today you'd be hard put to find a less honest politician than Johnson and as for Truss' economic policies, they're not only unsound, they're downright insane.
Rishi Sunak had to choose people in a rush! What nonsense, the man campaigned throughout the summer to become the leader. In all that time with his rumored amazing intellectual capacity he never thought that if he won he might have to select a cabinet !!!! Give me strength, why do so many people want to give this malevolent little Mickey Mouse impersonator an easy ride.
He's got hundreds of Tories in what were at the time in as safe seats as the ones he ended up picking, and he picked this rotten lot again with all their baggage instead of starting fresh. 🙄
They are so busy fighting amongst themselves, never mind the mess the country is in.they should get the finger out and start doing what they are paid to do.
Sunak where's the public's 700 billion pound's?do you even know? Is it in your pals bank accounts we need our money we need to feed our kids clear our dept's we should we should take you and your pals billion's and give it to the public give us our money back
People are forgetting that Boris did have a mandate from the people.....Asking around He still does....I won't be voting for a government with Sunak and Hunt in it.....THEY MUST GO AND SOON...!!!
How did Johnson have a mandate from the people? Only 43.6% of votes cast at the 2019 General Election were for the Conservative Party, by definition that's a minority of the vote.
Too late now, you've already changed leader TWICE since. Playing around with the position of PM like its some sort of game of hot potato?, its an insult to democracy I would say the same about Labour, changing leader ONCE should be an automatic GE outside of a few special circumstances like illness/death and then the new leader should keep to the manifesto the previous leader was elected on
Boris does no longer have a mandate as I hate to upset you but he is no longer the PM. Most people do not want him or the Tories anywhere near power ever again., They showed they are not only useless but also totally selfish and deeply fascist! THEY ALL MUST GO SOON!!!!!!
Rising taxes is wrong, lowering taxes is wrong as well. The tax issue isn't the crucial one. The crucial question is economic growth and this is either a matter of getting the lucrative trade deals that the country has been longing for or the country gets again to a closer alignment with the EU. I don't see either of them. I reckon, the UK has to hold on doing basically nothing.
they face obliteration and have very differant factions who blame each other either way they turn its all over probably for a decade at least if they swing right perminantly
I hope they pull each other apart and start throwing the mud. This lot need to be criminally investigated for neglect of duty and possibly treason. Putting big businesses shareholders and non doms before the British people is the lowest of the low.
Except Caesar forbade the hoarding of cash of a value greater than 60,000 sersterces by any one person, he also cancelled all interest payments for debtors in 49 BC and annulled rent payments for one year to tackle Roman debt at the hands of the wealthy aristocracy. He would never have cut taxes for the wealthy like Truss did, he had nothing but contempt for the Conservatives of his own time (the Optimates) who ended up assassinating him out of their own greed, rather than the supposed virtues they pretened to uphold like Conservatives do today ie they accused him of being a tyrant, just as they did to the Gracchi Brothers who were also killed for putting the interests of the wider public before those of the wealthy. Truss crashed the Pound whilst trying to enrich the already wealthy, Caesar restored the Denarius in spite of the hostile Optimates. The former hoisted by her own petard, the latter murdered his ideological opponents. They are not the same.
In some cultures people confess their sins to status or idols, safe in the knowledge that it won't be passed on (at least to mortals). Tories have Simon Case. "BbbBbBbbut I did tell somebody", they cry, and they're not technically lying.
Truss. She wants deporting after the incredible amount of damage she has caused. UK response. Like the police failures, gets REWARDED, with £150, 000 pension. As they say. You couldn't make this up. Fun times ahead with the unions running the country.
So, where's the promised Brexit dividend? Where are the sunny uplands promised by Boris and co? Where's the £350 million a week, so famously implied to help fund the NHS?
Would it not be better if our MPs actually got on and did the job they were elected to do rather than continually tory to being each other down? I really believe the current Government are the first in my lifetime.
Gotta love the journalists from The Times, discussing the failures of people and policies they've been supporting for years, then taking no responsibility. Conservative values - corruption.
I have just been watching the Finnish Prime Minister Very impressive It is a great pity that of those countries where women have been head of the executive the onIy country where they have been a washout has been the United Kingdom , and that have just been watching the Finnish Prime Minister Very impressive and that incIudes Thatcher . It is the penaIty of having such a backward mentaIity amongst our men British attitudes are rather antique
"Liz macro policy correct" You think a policy of hollowing out the state while borrowing every penny that country possibly could and giving the money straight to her rich chums to put into their offshore bank accounts is the correct macro policy? Sure, if you're one of her rich chums and you don't care how many people starve, freeze or go without medical treatment or education as long as you can line your pockets even further, then it probably is.
Boris should return as next Prime Minister then there is a slight chance of getting into a Coalition Gov as it is unlikely Boris could get 80 majority.
Let's get real folks. Luz and Boris have been in touch all this time. Boris knows Liz is useful to him. Let her write all the balderdash about being right about tax cutting, and stir things up in the conversative party. He is calculating that Rishi and Jeremy will be toast after a year, and Boris can then ride in as a new Primeminister just before the election as the only hope for a jittery conservative party desperate to win the election, and of course he will have the backing of Liz Truss and all the right wing of the party crying for tax cuts for the 'people'. Boris will conveniently forget that he raised taxes in his first go at being PM. Yes the behind the scene machinations are going on. Watch out!!!!!
