Firepower? The 308 and 30-06 are ballisticly identical, and the M14 holds 12 more rounds in a detachable magazine. So the M14 has more firepower. Legendary performance? The M14 is a pretty legendary performer, but I agree not as much so as the Garand for the simple fact it was used in WW2. Is being legendary really an operative plus that make the rifle better? As far as jungle conditions, the only issue was the wood stock warping after being damp for long periods of time, an issue the Garand would have as well due to the wood stocks used.
They used German weapons, most rare is guns like the Stg44, even some Fallschirmjägergewehr 42 and MG34 and MG42 that vietnamese used. Believe it or not.
I genuinely liked these sounds more. Sounded more like a good blend of movie & realistic. The new sounds vary between good and just trash. The SKS sounds like a pop gun and the M14 sounds more like a steel bar being dropped.
Not sure if anyone notices this, but for the DP-28, they just combined the sounds of the RO2 DP-28 and DT machine guns. Sounds better than most games, but worth noting.
Interesting fact the 37 trench shotgun was made by Ithica in New York and the Americans loved it in Vietnam because it reloaded only by the underneath meaning no dirt would get it the side, and it could slam fire, which isn't present in the game.
I want to point out that instead of using recycled textures from past games in ww2 soviet and american guns they went out of their way to improve them! Nice delicate work tripwire!
You know other games were you throw Grenades, they always add weird visual HUD stuff to indicate how far you will throw it...or has no indicator at all. But Risingstorm 2, just uses the characters other hand to indicate this. XD I just love it.
The flamethrower animation (the actual flames) needs some work. The engine is not an excuse, if DOI can do beautiful flamethrower affects with the source engine, I'm sure they can do better here.
Wow, the SVD is strange here. This metallic sound doesn't fit it at all and more importantly, why the hell does this gun lock open after the last round? It was never meant to do such thing.
you doing wrong.First fire all of the bullet than dont fire all bullets because we want to see only magazine reload animation or only 1 double barrel shotgun bullet animation
Anyone know if the use of trap warfare will be included, not necessarily be set up by players but maybe there are pitfalls or trapmines around the map which are only seen on the NVA map for example? Just asking since that was a pretty big part of the war.
