I ate clean, no alcohol, no drugs, no smoking, worked out 4 days a week, no history of cancer in family and was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer Stage 3. Just my bad luck I guess. Fck cancer!

I imagine that the reason a person’s age would help increase the risk of cancer would be because as a general rule regarding nature, kids are too young to easily be expected to know how to deal with any cancer which would make them more vulnerable to such a condition of any type if and when they were to develop it!

Hi Carly, Thanks for your comments. Any cancer diagnosis is difficult news to hear, but it is especially difficult when it happens in kids. Chromium is a naturally occurring element found in rocks, animals, plants, and soil. It can exist in several different forms. Depending on the form it takes, it can be a liquid, solid, or gas. The most common forms are chromium(0), chromium(III), and chromium(VI). While chromium(VI) compounds are known human carcinogens, the effects of exposure to any hazardous substance depend on the dose, the duration, how you are exposed, personal traits and habits, and whether other chemicals are present. A doctor or trusted healthcare professional is in the best position to discuss how likely a person exposed to chromium(VI) compounds is to develop cancer.
