Hey guys great episode, entertaining as usual :-) Everyone just needs to be aware that Barred is definitely DAY USE ONLY and no camping. Has been for over 6 months now but as its featured so much on socials people still think it's fine. Signage is up above high tide mark on the main beach entry to that spot, not too far from where you were parked up :-) On another note there is usually great fishing on the north side on the big tides ... big Trevor's and Macs. You are up here at the right time.

Hey Scott thanks for the comment and watching mate, can report no signage on any tracks saying day use only, don’t know why, or if someone has ripped them down when we were there but yeah no signs saying that, Also there was bulk locals camping there when we left in there rooftop tents No doubt your correct as it seems your local or know more than us but yeah no signs anywhere and yeah we wouldn’t of gone down if we had seen the signs

Mate. Those temps are nothin to worry about. In fact they are pretty low considering how hard the girl was working. More importantly, the Auto temp is a major concern if it over heats. On the Scanguage 3, you can set a x-guage code to show trans temp. Normal should be between 85 and 110 max. Once trans temp get over 115 the fluid structure breaks down and starts the beginning of the end for tranny. Enjoy your travels guys. Beautiful location this week. Just a side note. Toyota turbo don't tent to come apart until over 650C 😂😂

Hey guys you need to go to the cliffs edges on the other side of Barred Creek, it's beautiful and on low tide ya can climb down to your own little beach. we love that spot

Was at Barred creek a few weeks ago.Great spot but needed to give the troopy shit too get out.Also we were walking along that water edge and dropping a good 20cm in sections.

What an incredible spot. Sorry! You're a rotten fisherman. Keep your rod up high so it has bend. If you drop the point down quickly, the line slacks off and fish chuck the hook. Fish with a fairly loose drag. The fish needs to run to make it tired then it's easier to get it in gently. Don't pressure the fish, play it. The calmer the whole exercise is done the more likely you are to land fish. Go back and look at the video of you losing the barra. Then read the above again. Good luck. Hope you fishing life turns around.

Thanks for ther SG3 info, what is your gearbox pan temperature and the torque coverter temp. I'd be camping higher than that.

We have the torque converter lockup, so the never get over 90 my guess would be around 70 on the beach like that

It would be great to camp here, but unfortunately both Barred Ck and Willie Ck beaches have been day use only since 2023. But I guess if you are a RU-vid content creator the rules/law doesn't apply. Great episode guys.

yeah Leroy is a beast, I knew it wasnt too bad! on road towing 3.5t we normally around 300 degrees if not high 200s and water temp is like 83-87

400 on the gauge is yer ok normal but if its still climbing what temp do you stop and cool her down at before a melt down on the exhaust temps , yours is front mounted mine is bonnet and a fan probably a huge difference but temp is temp bloody scary tho

narh man, 400 is hot for us but its nothing! Prados and 300s run higher EGTs on the road! I would worry at 500 degrees I think and around 96+ degree water temperature- but ive never ever hit that.
