I myself watched it as a child, growing up in the 80's we were allowed to watch any movie. This is one of my favorites too. I think that Im the only person that doesn't consider this movie a comedy at all. I look at it as a drama with some funny scenes.
When I got out of Navy Boot Camp I had a choice of either watching Easy Money with Rodney Dangerfield or Risky Business without knowing any reviews at the time. I ended up watching Easy Money and wished I saw Risky Business instead 😝 what a life changing experience it would’ve been.
Got my copy in the mail today. Great movie. That Tangerine Dream score. The 'sex on a train' scene, just a classic film. I spent my summers at my grandparent's as a kid and was planted in front of the TV watching movies on HBO I shouldn't really be watching and this was one. I don't know why movies like this clicked with me then but they've stuck with them ever since.
our local record store setup a dedicated criterion and arrow section. I was absolutely floored… I’m due to send you gentlemen an email update shortly, I’ll include a photo risky business I definitely have to check out, as I’ve never seen it, but it feels like I have. You know those type of movies eh?!
Cruise's agent must watch your show, all your love for Kidman on Criterion must have sparked a fire so bright never seen before or since. 😜 EDIT: Would love to see Russ add the agent to Russ' ongoing series of character parodies. When are going to see Carlito next?
