Couldnt believe my eyes just today saw 2 Yellow 28ft trailers pass by in AZ. Last month driving LA to Sac passed an auction yard and they had rows and rows of Yellow trucks.

Your idea of cheap and mine are way different. A $75K truck is still over $100K Canadian Funds. And I don't feel sorry for anyone that purchased a new truck in 2020-22 @ the prices they sold for then. The other day I saw an older Peterbilt with over 1 million miles and the owner was asking over, (you better sit down) $400,000.00 I know it's sounds like a trucker story but it's true.
I got three used schneider trucks back in 2012 for 16k each. 820k miles. Dirt cheap after recession years. 60 series detroits Still running strong today.
SM freight.... in Blenheim Just laid off half their Fleet... It's one of the transforce companies. 45 drivers. Effective on Friday of this week. I have a very good friend over at Canada cartage who would have access to the following information that they gave me..... 45% of the Fleet in London is probably going to be laid off in the next month. Union as well as non-union drivers. including office staff. Keep your eyes open for an announcement something to the tune of they lost one of their best accounts. That's the rumor. I drove past the Elgin yard which is part of challenger motor freight in London yesterday afternoon at 2 PM. There was not 10 empty slots where they park their trailers And at the absolute most there were 30 trucks not parked in that facility. There is approximately 175 trucks based out of that yard.
Bidenomics at work. Basic supply and demand. Too Much supply and not enough demand. Good video btw paying cash is the only way to survive this market with no truck payment. Can you still make good money with no payments with these rates ?
Ronen it's great seeing those cheap prices but please remember, you got a u.s. premium, u.s taxes and yes that 40% canadian to u.s. dollar. It sure changes those numbers real fast and much much higher. Why not just go and look at those PRIDE trucks and trailers. Just saying. IMO
I'm finding it depends on the location. The orlando auction houses have been having some great prices. California has been really high. I'm trying to nab one more si gle axle but there's been a bit of a summer bump.

I can't speak on the political aspect of that, but I do believe that waiting is the best move as the market may or may not correct itself depending on how the next coming months play out

I don't disagree much, except that the market trajectory is dictated by administration policy, regardless of the political party in charge. The current political leaders' policies are causing deterioration, not fostering a boom in any private industry. These policies are not conducive to an upward trajectory, unlike the past 5 years ago. They fail to build confidence for companies to invest significantly in America. As a result, many companies are relocating to cheaper markets while still selling their products in the U.S. because domestic production is too expensive and the ever-changing administration policies are a headache. A few months ago in Chicago, I noticed a guy who owns 300 trucks and recently bought over 50 trailers. Many are doing this to lease them out or for potential resale value. Companies are also changing their business models to more cost-effective ones, adding dimensions like auto and truck mechanic shops and other service businesses, moving away from just owning trucking companies due to the continuing downtrends. Also Some brokers with large in-house carriers manage to secure significant long-term freight contracts from shippers, then resell those loads to smaller carriers, effectively controlling freight access.
