Rito Village Blizzard Ambience The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Aaaand you just broke my heart with this comment. Imagine a little Rito stumbling in the snow, whistling Revalis’s theme because they want to be as brave as their hero.

owie that makes me sad but i. really want to write this. yknow ill do this for my daily writing prompt tomorrow. ouch.

Warning: this took me 40 minutes and made me sad. It does have a hopeful ending though. Tabi looked around, shivering. Her feathers protected her from the worst of the cold, but even then, her bones felt like one wrong touch could shatter them. Trudging through the snow, wings wrapped around her torso, Tabi softly whistled the tune of Revali, her favorite hero. He was brave and strong, he could save her. She sniffled softly, afraid. The gentle tune was the only comfort she had in the blizzard- she knew she had to keep going, find shelter, anyone. Tabi couldn't see anything other than the thick snow she waded through and snowflakes falling down from the heavens. She wished her wings weren't as damp as they were. Maybe if she dried them off, she could fly, but she knew she was too weak now to fly anyways. Terror- that calm, but dreading sort of terror, kept her trudging through the snow, desperate not to die. Her whistles faded away, in place of a small keen. Tabi was desperate, she just wanted anyone, anyone to find her and save her from the freezing embrace. She didn't want to die here, have her family wonder where she was, and find her body forever encapsulated, frozen. Her legs were numbing. She whined, too weak to do anything but sit down and curl up into a ball. She couldn't feel her wings anymore. The snow crunched around her, freezing her feathers. Tabi keened, a soft sob ripping out of her throat. The tune of her favorite hero seemed to shelter her from the snow, a calm washing over her. It took her a while, until the tune died off to realize that the tune was coming from her. Silence echoed around her, all she could hear was the cold, freezing winds. She exhaled softly. A soft, warm feather brushed over her, but Tabi couldn't understand, she didn't know what was happening- where was she? She faintly felt someone draw her closer, into their embrace and hug her. The mystery person trudged steadily through the snow, the only thought Tabi could come up with was a faint, 'I hope they don't end up like me.' She didn't want them to die alongside her. Her breathing slowed. She was too weak to do anything but freeze. Tabi felt a warm thing enter her grasp, snuggling itself between her and the mystery person's chest. She could feel a faint warmth coming off of it. She whined, curling around the warm thing. A faint "Stay awake, its going to be okay, fledging," came from above her. Tabi was sleepy, having barely registered the comfort. A muttered curse was said from the person holding her. The mystery person wrapped her up in something- maybe a blanket, the warm item tucked in with her. She whimpered as the blanket rustled, and was grabbed once more by something. A sense of weightlessness came over her, she was confused, she couldn't fly, why was she flying? Her eyes fluttered shut, peacefulness overtaking her body. --------- Tabi's eyes sleepily opened. A large, navy rito shushed her gently. "Who... are you..?" Tabi said, her words slurring together. Tabi blinked the sleep away from her eyes and looked around. They were in the flight range? How did she get here? Taking in the blizzard around them, the fire sheltering the cabin from the snow and cold, she looked at the rito for answers. "You got a little lost there, fledgling. We'll go back to the village when the blizzard dies down, yeah?" "I don't know you," Tabi said softly. "Who are you?" The rito smiled. "I'm Revali, kid. You are?" Tabi gasped, staring at Revali. "Um.. Tabi?"

I was tempted to make it end in tragedy but that made me too sad

It's more wild if you yourself listened to the theme and spent hours in Rito Village yourself

It's not just a blizzard, it's an end-of-the-world scenario for the rito, it's like if a huge layer of snow and darkness engulfed the whole planet except in the Rito Village's case there are at least escape routes.

I was thinking of how they could keep the troubled realm tracks after you help each race... They could have like some ruins from each race somewhere, and the music could play there. I think that'd be fun
