@@HangingwithVinceandTina The benefits of staying in RIU PALACE are that you can go and use facilities at Dunamar too, unfortunately it doesn’t work the other way
They require your room key to be inserted in a slot in the room for all power to work, including Air conditioning! So when you’re out of your room for the day you have to come back to a hot room. They refuse to give an extra key to keep the AC on.

@@USAcitizen1015 Noproblem, I always book a package including airfare, hotel, and transportation to and from airport. Also oceanview room is an upgrade. For 6 days and 5 nighits around $2300.00

We only left the Resort to eat twice, once on our excursion to Isla Mujeres at the little restaurant right were the boat docks and Taboo. Taboo was extremely good but the price was really expensive. The little authentic Mexican restaurant on the island had the best fish. My wife says the at the resort her favorite was the buffet out of all the restaurants mainly because of all the variety.

Looking at booking this hotel just don’t know if it’s too far out to get into the city and would be better off booking one in the hotel zone 😊 thanks again for such a great video !
You will not be able to take public transportation to the hotel zone but you can take a taxi because of distance. That is one of the small drawbacks. I found everything safe but we avoided doing much after dark off of the resort but many people we met there did a lot after dark without any issues.
We book our vacations with Cheap Caribbean and they partner with Amstar for transportation to and from the airport. Amstar also provides a large selection of excursions.
The food was good, but not great. If you have ever been to an all inclusive the food has never been great at all the different Caribbean resorts I've been too. With that said everything was fresh, especially the breakfast food, which is what i enjoy the most. We typically eat off the resort at least once or twice when we travel.
@@fletchg1634 yes, they usually have plenty but you can always tip the pool attendant and they will put a towel down on the loungers and saved them for you.
I was here in November of 2021 and loved it. So pretty. Staff so friendly, nice, helpful, etc I would agree with the long hallways and elevator though.....very few elevators, or that we could find anyway. We were on the 4th floor, so did a lot of the steps. I hightly recommend this place to anyone.
That was my only issue, the elevators. That was my 2nd time there and it’s true those are the only elevators and they are located up near the lobby. We were also on the 4th floor😝😝😝. @@izzysilva411 No, we book our trip through CheapCaribbean and they have an option to prepay for transportation to the resort and back to airport with a company named Amstar.
@@erikasanchez6588 they have many free activities for the water as well as an area were different entertainment companies set up to present their many excursion packages. Lastly you have others that are free to roam the beach selling their excursion packages. I have bought from both and have never been burned but you have to be cautious about the legitimacy of those selling on the beach ( but it is cheaper… lol)
They had a foam party on Thursday, no beach parties the week I was there. They have a club that stays open from 10 till 2 am and then everyone goes to the 24 hour bar.
Yes 4106 its also in the beginning of the video before the room tour ...😆😆😆, oh my god we enjoyed it so much. We have been back to Cancun since we did this video and stayed at the NOW EMERALD and we enjoyed it as well but I must say all we keep doing was comparing it to Riu Dunamar. We are absolutely going back.

I absolutely would recommend going there although I have never been there in December we went in October. The trip is roughly 45 minutes from the airport. Yes, the dock to go to Isla Mujeres is near by and we’ll worth the excursion.
@@localone1597 EXCELLENT u won’t regret it, We are going to Cancun for my bday at the end of this month but we will be staying at the NOW EMERALD resort only because that’s where I proposed, I will do another video on it next month.
Yes, they charge for massages on the resort, however we got our massages with the locals that are set up on the beach just outside of the resorts property at an extremely discounted price and they will let you negotiate for an even lower price. The massages are just as good if not better ☺️
