the difference between these gloves and fight gloves is the foams between the two correct. the bag glove is all foam very dense foam so longevity. the fight gloves are much softer and are a combination of horse hair and foam. both gloves are good quality
i have to say that is not correct, this model rfx guerrero bag glove is the exact model as the lde and hde model except one difference they add an extra layer of leather that is thicker in the knuckle side, but there is also the rival guerrero model sf which is predominantly more horsehair then lde hde and is considered their more punchers version, when you call the guys at rival who are by the way great if you dont specify they will always give you the model lde or hde, our 2 best pro fighters have all switched to the sf since the are commonl going up against the ridiculous everlast mx in most states even now that everlast has added a little more padding to the knuckle area since 2015 its still the most able to hurt of all fight gloves i have encountered, grant punchers model is similar to rival lde hde in padding and obviously their orthopedic model is another story and is all foam or mostly foam i actually havent used it in person
The Guerreros come with two different paddings the SF-F and HDE-F. This review seems to be of the HDE-F which has high density EVA and is more geared toward protection, the SF-F is the softer more broken in feeling glove.
Just received these gloves today. Its my first time using rival products so i just wanna know if the padding feels like a thin layer of stiff foam with softer foam underneath? It somewhat feels like a cardboard piece so im having doubts about the website i bought em from
Did you ever do a follow up with the new gloves after you returned this pair, also I had a question brotha I am 5'11/ 6'0 155 pounds skinny hands but fairly long fingers. do you think these gloves would fit me in the 10oz size? I would greatly appreciate a reply because I want to grab a pair of these before the holidays, thanks in advance!
well obviously these arent a real bag glove, no one who actually boxes for a living would recommend these for b ag work daily, but these are a really fun glove and like he said convenient , cause sometimes we all like wearing fight gloves for pad work to look faster and simulate the fight so 10 154 up and 8 47 down, but boxing addicts like myself and im sure some of you occasionally train alone and now we have a way to wear a fight glove w proper raps and dont have to try to squeeze on a pair already laced up or try lacing the non dominant w glove thumbs haha
so my answer would be the rs11 or rb11 people really seem to love it, people love the the strap system which is now used on most of their gloves, but now the rb10 has gotten rid of the ergo strap and gone with this people like it, but if you have heavyweight sized hands some people have a hard time getting their hands w wraps thru the v system esp on the guerrrero bag glove, but the rb11 has exterior stitching so it cant be used for spars and the guerrero bg is just fight glove w velcro, so even thpough it has limited color options id say the if you want velcro get the rs11 or rs1 in velcro, best options if you need one glove to do it all
RATETHISGEAR would you say using the fight lace up version would be good for mits and heavy bag work? Durability and protection wise. Would really appreciate the advice
HEY Ali, i dont have a single favorite gloves, i like a few brands such as winning, rival, title, ringside, everlast, iam also discovering new brand that i really like as well. for bag i use my old winnings
I have been doing it for awhile so I am particular about what gloves I like. if you remember I took your advice and bought rival gloves. I did not like them and the pros and amateur did not either. So whats your problem. Did your feels get hurt. I am just giving my opinion about these gloves. By the way whats your gym.
