In this video, I'm having Mexican food for the first time in like, 3 years, besides Taco Bell or Del Taco. It was amazing! I got the food from a place called Rivas Mexican Grill. Carne Asada Fries, Chile Rellenos, Chicken Rolled Tacos, Shredded Beef Hard Tacos, Cheese Enchiladas, and Menudo. Bonus behind the scenes stuff I left in, joking about the food. I think I finally found something I hate. I hope I don't offend anyone. Thanks for watching!

FYI, folks, I have absolutely nothing to do with how many ads are on each video. I only "allow" ads. It's fully up to the algorithm how many ads you get. Get an ad blocker if they really bother you. Or fast forward to the end, and then back to the beginning and the ads will be gone. I've never tried the latter but I've read it works.

The rolled tacos are called flautas. They're eaten with sour cream & guac so they're not dry tasting. Wondering why you didn't try any of the salsa with them. Impressed you were balsy enough to try the menudo. Guurrrl it took me years to acquire the menudo taste. I can appreciate it now. Traditionally it's eaten with chopped onion & lemon/lime. I’m glad your supporting our local businesses. I like Rivas haven’t had it in a while though. I usually get the carne asada fries or the burrito. All that food looks so yummy. I know a lot of people don’t like menudo however it’s a staple in Hispanic culture. Menudo when cleaned and cooked properly very very delicious.

For the menudo: 1) best eaten piping hot, best restaurants serve more broth than tripe. 2) they serve more broth because you dress it up before eating, the goodness is in the dressed broth !! 3) always dress your menudo !! Add finely chopped onion, oregano is key to the flavoring, lemon or lime juice. 4) enjoy with alternating bites of handmade tortillas and spoonfuls of broth !!

I am glad you enjoyed it. Rolled tortillas are called, flautas. My favorite are chiles rellenos. Not many like menudo. Our family adds lime, onion and oregano. Menudo is great to cure hangovers.

Yes!! We have a Ponchos Mexican restaurant here in Orange California and it's my favorite Mexican food. It's not a cafeteria style though. The design of the setting is old traditional with low lighting and the most delicious authentic food you'd ever taste. I know you would love it Candy.

Hello, hello!!! Everything looks so fresh and delicious!! We had salads from Olive Garden and my husband had a burger from Five Guys. Thought I was full but I would try everything you got except for the tripe dish. I’m a wimp. I just couldn’t force myself to try it. I appreciate your candor about it!!! Too funny!! I know one of my Besties loves Menudo! Her family was raised on it. My Mom loves it as well, even though I don’t. I think it’s great to try new things, even if they aren’t the thing for us. Still, a little tact goes a long way when describing things that have been a part of peoples culture for ages. Like many of the foods that you grew up eating. Just a thought.

The chile rellenos. It was very flavorful, smokey, cheesy, and just lovely. The batter was nice, and that pepper wasn't hot at all, just full of flavor, better than a roasted bell pepper, imo.
