Hi Madox! There's so much people comments here and dlow react video that Ice should be won this, 'river just crybaby about being touched' etc. I feel this is good battle to analyze (maybe) because some of the fan can't accept the fact that no judges vote for ice. In my opinion, River still won this battle (if you take away the 'touching', River is still won for me), At first round it's really close battle and Ice slightly win, but in the second round, i feel like Ice need more creative about the structure, so he will sound having more variety.. both of them do crazy technical pattern on the second round, but in other hands Ice sounds a bit repetitive. Thank you so much Madox! The Man of Culture! ❤️

People need to understand that Abo Ice attitude is excitement. Dude made it on the GBB stage and no matter what he wants to show presence. I think when he is battleling its just his nature to be touchy (i dont think he means it in a bad way) But this reminds me a bit of Zekka doing this stuff to Colaps 😂 Most important after the battle is to huge eachother and show some love ❤️

I think that we should draw the line at touching and pushing, especially when combined with a hostile attitude and when one party clearly indicates they don't appreciate it. It might be part of the act and the battle, but we should not allow even a remote hint of unfriendly physicality to influence the performers. ICE needs to tone it down a notch in my opinion.

I dont know exactly how the scoring works but if thats part of the criteria thats actually insane. I think rivers first round was recycled from the world champs against pacmax. Both river and ice were close to flawless so it was anyones battle to me.

I think river had more variety actually. Between round 1 and 2 river was more distinct. Ices first round was iconic by the way, but second round sounded too similar to round 1. River wins.

at the start of Ice's second round he countered really really well. River then tells him to back off, he didn't touch, yet River was just as close in his round. Turning around then coming back in Ice's face. I understand that Ice took it too far. But in this isolated incident, it wasn't that bad xD

INSANE battle!! I can't imagine the tension on stage! STILL the touching really annoys me. Since forever it has been the rule in Hip Hop to never touch your opponent. There have been physical fights in rapping and bboying because of this. The peacefulness and respect of the beatbox battles are one of my favorite parts about the community. I know Abo Ice has never battled in real life but I feel like learning to keep your composure is just as important as training your skills and it's a sing of respect to the craft. I know Zekka does it too and it annoys me just as much.

For me, any time a battler lets the aggressive energy spill over into invading personal space and touching, they immediately lose points. I know it's called a "battle," but it's a "beatbox battle." Let your music and your techniques fight for you, don't be a meathead.

The whole time me watching the video was trying to tell Ice to stay away from River. His rounds are immaculate but so is his touching. My brain is literally being flashbacked to Zekka. It would've been a great match if there wouldn't be touching. Would love to know if the touching impacted the final results.

@@Aintz-17Judges don't judge that sort of thing. If they voted for River it's because they thought he was better I highly doubt the touching affected the scoring. Also it's Vibration bass not Vibrator.

Rivers attitude is so poor I think I’ll only be able to watch this battle once, shame. Big up ICE for keeping it old school with the battle energy!! Should never be looking down your nose at anyone, especially not at your fellow competitor and newcomer to GBB in front of his biggest crowd yet, all sat there with the highest of expectations... I heard that river was anxious to battle on stage when he was younger, and that the community around him had helped to inspire his confidence, which I loved - can we not maintain a supportive community for other newer members of the battle scene? I didn’t see any of this ‘don’t touch me’ attitude in the finals… Rant over x

Ice's first round definitely had him neck and neck with River, if not a little ahead even. His second round, while technically impressive on *many* levels, just didn't have the structure, flow, or oomf I was hoping it would have. Solid choice by the judges imo, but can't wait to see what Ice does with a little more refinement.

@@bfs1 not sure about that one. There are a few sounds that river can do that also ice does. And there are many sounds river does that ice cannot do. But the clickroll is literally a beginner beatbox sound that anyone can counter. However, River's clickroll is very clean and powerful, and he can also do whistles and bird chirps at the same time. Ice's click roll counter wasnt very powerful, both live and in the video, maybe he had dry mouth or wrong technique.
