Hi Graham, Yes this was a tough session that drop of rain we had bought the river up just enough to make it awkward to find a swim that was comfortable to fish and the wind also made it very difficult but as you say that's the sort of thing you can encounter fishing the river but I still enjoyed the day though I was tired when I got home. As for carrying gear that I could get away with I have to admit I'm terrible for that I can't bring myself to leave things at home just in case I might need them for example two landing nets instead of one three rods instead of two and of course the ground bait next time I'll try and take just what I need to take I guess it's not the worst thing that can happen if you run out of ground bait you can always put in some loose feed the fish were not in the mood I was very grateful for those Rudd Graham👍

Hi David, yes this river does seem to hold a fair few Rudd i'd like to know if there are many of a pound or over in there👍

@@geraldhills41 It's not a bad rod at all especially if your fishing in tight swims Shakespeare do another 8 ft feeder rod which is a Beta quiver tip though not sure how it compares to their Omni range.

@@frankiechilds3559 Hi mate, No I haven't yet hopefully I will one day possibly in the next close season as all my fishing is on the river except for when the close season is in force .
