I have to say that you are the most laidback cat fisherman I have ever seen. That's not a bad thing. When I watch your videos I can enjoy the action and calm down, from a wired day. When others miss one they are slamming their equipment and saying words, while you just look around at the camera and say "Missed him." That's so cool.

Nice flat on a spin reel, makes it fun. Could handle some white bass myself, sparse in Florida though. Went 81 yrs without eating a bass, catch and release. Then some crappie buddies convinced me to try one. Fixed with crappie, barely tell the difference. Far better than that stop at a gas station.

You should be putting some in the live well. A live, 6" white bass, is my favorite flathead bait.

I blocked off a inlet to a small oxbow yesterday bow fishing with my canoe . Saw a bunch of carp sucking on duck weed . I hit one and the whole place blew up heading for my canoe to try and escape ! There must have been a tank in the bunch because I got a nice dent in my canoe when it hit me ! I was freaking out seeing the herd heading for my boat !

Buddy I love fishing for whippers and we have several lakes here in southern Iowa that have them but everyone that I talk to that try to fish for them have a very very hard time catching them!! They usually say if they catch one then they won’t be able to catch another one!! A buddy of mine and me have found out that they definitely won’t bite if they hear, feel, see, or anything else that they might feel as a threat!! We have been able to figure them out though!!! We will catch them all day long in a kayak and the faster we can paddle the more bites we can get!! If someone gets close to us in another boat though they will definitely shut down!!! We can also catch them as long as we don’t do a bunch of moving around in the kayak just sitting there!!! Even if a boat might be going by us they still will shut down!!! They are definitely very fun to fish for but it took us at least a full summer of going out to the different lakes and trying at least 50 to 75 different things out we have figured them out finally and can get on them every time!!! We have caught hundreds of them and give some away to people at the boat ramp that come up to us and ask us how we was able to get them to hook up!!! They will actually bite on just about anything also as long as you can get the bait to be moving super fast!!! Other wise when we first start out we will end up with something shiny and something that will make lots of movement!!! Hopefully that might help you out or give you some ideas for you to try out!!!
