River Fishing With Lures - Catching fish in the Swartkops river 

Good day everyone, we have one special video for you today! After moving to New Zealand over 5 years ago we finally got to go visit South Africa. And yes! I took some lures and fishing gear with me. :) though I didn't get a lot of time on the river banks I got to go fish where i use to fish as a kid growing up. I rigged up a Glowbite bleeder jig head with a paddle tail and got casting. it wasn't long before i hooked up to the first fish which felt like a small Garrick, but unfortunately he spat the hook right at my feet. I persisted, and just kept casting and it was not long until my childhood fishing spot produced a nice size flathead. I quickly took a few photos before watching him swim off healthy.
