13 year-old volunteer pianist, Evan Brezicki, performs "River Flows Through You" by Yiruma, at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, NC.
Not a fair comparison to yourself because playing in a public place with strangers, not many are paying attention and they are leaving after a moment is way less scary than playing in front of people that all have their eyes on you and are with you for a long time and they are super judgemental and will let you know their thoughts openly
This video actually represents much more than just a piano recital. To those who have never attempted to master an instrument, please understand that this performance is the result of commitment, perseverance and the courage to perform in a live venue. No matter who we are, we all exist upon a continuum. There will always be someone greater and someone lesser .. I say kudos!
Or some people, yk, they learn a instrument to escape reality. Some people learn one, so that they can take there mind off of, relationships problems, mental issues, pain, everyone being against you, everyone dispising you, everyone judging the you, all that stuff. And playing a instrument helps take your mind off those things. 😔
Him: *being 13 and knows how to play piano beautifully* Me: *being 13 and the only thing I know how to do is wake up and stare at the ceiling lying down for literal hours*
Every time it's sad to see how many people just keep walking! I would listen to it until the end, applaud loudly and before I give money I would tell him how beautiful the song was. Very nice song
Yes! This is the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. We flew through there at the end of December and saw him playing..very impressive! We were lucky enough to have a layover, but would definitely be hard to stop and listen when trying to make a flight.
Dang why the salty replies? I agree with Green m, watching and enjoying in the moment is much more immersive and memorable than looking through phones. People these days smh
Jean Fontaine people think that piano is hard because they don’t know how to play it, literally go play twinkle twinkle little star and people would think you’re good
how can people not stop for a moment to listen to this work of art? I swear if I was there I would stop to listen to my favorite artist, Yiruma. Despite being young, he plays very well, I hope to be like you one day, good luck! ^^ ♥︎
@@muhdhanif1048 it surely is, but that's not complicated and it's not like a 1000 people were watching? Also fantasie impromptu is not a complicated piece, its intermediate and its a little hard to learn the rythm.
Such a wonderful talented youngster. He played for a Youth Arts Forum benefit concert at the iconic Bitter End in NYC several years ago. Now at 16 I hope he still plays.
I don't feel alone after this. At least I know that someone else my age can memorize a song perfectly and still get fingers messed up. I hope no one criticized him for that.
i always mess up when you have to do “A” two times when you’re doing the scale thing part because my fingers aren’t super fast sometimes. mistakes are good. i absolutely love playing this song
Sara Arfinn i don’t memorize the songs. i don’t remember letter notes. i just have very very intense muscle memory. so my fingers move in their own, i practically have no control over them. i play a song once and instantly can remember it for a very long time
He did really good... His face looks a bit scared... Even though, he did it such beautifully... Just loved it... He such a talented even boy at a young age...
@@siddharthmenon2330 idk if it's just my asian standerds, but me playing it at ten wasn't impressive at all xD. My piano teacher didn't count it as one of my peices cuz its too easy :p
Although he DID play it great. I wouldn't be too surprised if he could play more difficult peices, but is extremeally nervous playing for others. I memorized sonata in e minor by hyden (at ten, btw, and its defs harder than river flows XD) and when i was playing it in front of ppl, i suddenly forgot the first two pages ;-; (out of 5) That competition didn't go well...
this song is honestly the most beautiful piece I've ever heard. I get chills and a warm heart every time I hear it.

I’ve watched this video probably 20 times now. So good! And Charlotte is my hometown, I’ve seen this same piano many times when traveling and it always reminds me of this. Hope this kid is still making music!
Good for you, you can do it!! I am a complete beginner and I started 10 days ago. I have already learned the 1st minute of it playing at pretty fast speed. I also believed it will take me months. Let us know how it goes.
And how was it going? Is it in your reportaire? 😊 Month ago I give up to learn this piece....buuut...a few days ago I'll take my notes sit on my piano and started practicing...I will never give up 💪🙏❤

I've wanted to do this for a bit, but one of the things I'm most worried abt isnt the performance, it's the question of how do I react to the people clapping afterwards?
I watched this a month ago and he inspired me so now i can play this perfectly.

This is the song that will be played at my wedding. The other songs I dont care if there are little mistakes or the timing is too fast, but not this one. This one has to be timed and played perfectly. Been dreaming about it since I was in junior high. I'm 24 now. Anytime I hear this song I stop everything I'm doing to listen. In love with it completely.
Not taking anything away from the kid, playing in the mall wit minimal mistakes is deserves credit but were did you hear any emotion? Every note was as loud as the other and there was no change in pace. I'm sure he will improve tho...
This boy is SO talented. Even though there were mistakes it was the most beautiful things i have ever heard in my life... You are sooooooooooo talented!!!!!!!!☺☺☺☺😊😊😊
