I'd highly, highly recommend going as a passenger with an experienced guide before embarking on a river adventure on your own. Even flat water can pose dangers on and off the river and it will help immensely to learn about safety and environmental best practices first. Enjoy the outdoors!
Awesome info! Hoping to get there next spring. Sorry for the dumb question but how do you get google earth to show your river progress? When I create a project it just jumps from spot to spot.
