River mouth surf launches are NOT always fun and games 

This day was mean. Easterly jammed up the swell with waves right on top of each other. And us! But after a few circles, it became clear that we just had to get out of the cauldron and across that sandbank quicksmart.
Luckily the ocean is improving day by day and today should be a lot calmer. We might even catch a fish.
Thanks to able crew member Arthur who held onto the camera and boat impeccably. Arthur is with us learning the ropes of surf launching and operating boats in the surf zone. But he already works on superyachts all over the globe and is just here in KZN catching up on all his qualifications.
