UK was hit by flooding after heavy rain swells major rivers. The prolonged rainfall quickly caused already-swollen rivers and waterways to burst their banks across England and Wales.
UK government issued hundreds of flood warnings and travel disruptions and possibly hundreds of homes and businesses were damaged.
In this video, you can see the River Thames flooding the countryside around Abingdon. These drone shots were taken on 6th of January 2024 and you'll spot that large areas of the Abbey Meadows were underwater.
