A scuba diver found my husbands wallet. He returned it with the money and credit cards to him. It was found in the San Marcos river in San Marcos Texas, a popular tubbing spot. All he kept was postage to mail it to Austin. How cool was that?
D Winslow was your husband ever AT the San Marcos River where it was found? Because that would be insane if he was nowhere near where it was found when he lost it lol
New subscriber!! Finding that guy's class ring is so freaking awesome! I bet he thought he'd never see it again. I too, lost mine over 30 years ago while swimming at our local Reservoir with friends. I cried. Thanks for posting, BrandyF from West Texas.
Latch, there have been guys that show fake finds for attention. Chigg, on the other hand is the real deal. He is a RU-vid legend and a spokesman for the industry. If he films it, its real.
Love how you attempt to return lost items to their prior owners! I have a great story of how I found a camera in the water and was able to use the photos on it for clues. Ultimately got in touch and she was soooo great-full, and shocked. Keep up the great job!
9:03 Thats a really nice ring you found beside Ol' Penis Rock. lol When you stopped I frowned and tilted my head and said, "no, no way is that, oh god he's going in for a better look", and there there was the ring. I had to laugh so hard and remind myself, it's a river, not a gutter.. haa Great video as always, Beau.
This is the first of your videos I've ever seen. (Was browsing RU-vid) I was watching, wishing you'd pick up all of that trash along the way, as you searched. I must say, you are a very nice person. I've never seen any Hunter that tries to find the original owner to return the things they find. That makes you a pretty nice person. 😀
Theres probably hundreds of beer bottles and cans in there. If he was picking up the trash, that's all he'd be doing and would need several bags to hold them and then a place to put the bags and then have to go back to get the bags. I hear what you're saying though
This section of river he hunts is not on or through a state park. It's swift and would probably b dangerous top try to bag trash and get it out of the current without it taking you down. At least some of the finds have batteries and they are probably worst for the river. Good job Chigg, keep up the good works!!
Never ceases to amaze me at how many pairs of sunglasses are found. And the phones and cameras, too. Wish there wasn't so much junk in those streams and rivers. Thanks for the video. Hope you were able to find the owners of the ring and cash.
It's refreshing that you're so honest because I figure anyone that is foolish enough to go down stream or river and carry valuables on their person deserve to lose those items if that does happen in the end. How can people be so idiotic? Question for you Beau, do you sell any of your bullets and if you don't, how many bullets can a man amass?
Pretty sure those hundreds are mine Chig. Was there a picture of Ben Franklin on any of them? Yeah, pretty sure those are my 100 spots there. You can contact me for my PO box.
Yea i thought this guy would be better then the annoying woohoo video guy but i was wrong and atleast that guy didnt just pass the trash n would grab it anyways
I think you did it along time ago maybe not but will you make a video returning the stuff you return not all the time but I'd like to see somebody who thought they would never see something special again see it , not the phones or stuff but maybe a ring you can tell is old or whatever you know
You obviously don't live by a code of ethics like Aquachigger does. People that do, get way more satisfaction from the gratefulness of another person to whom that ring might have sentimental value.
You are a new discovery for me. Love the videos, and the occasional history lessons. Thanks for hours of entertainment. You, sir, are very good at what you do, and all the hours of research you must spend looking for and discovering the civil war sites you visit really pays off. 😊
I was wondering if you ever pick up the trash or just leave it in the water. I like your video's. Keep up the good work. Thank you for attempting to return the stuff to the original owner.
Wish someone would've been kind enough to return my class ring 😕 I know exactly where it was lost way back in 1992 .. I have hopes of getting in the river one day and finding it ... Come on down to South Mississippi and we'll go "hold our breath" to see if we can find it 😀 pun intended
I found a class ring metal detecting. From Cal State Fullerton. Had the guys initials engraved. It took a couple of yrs but I finally got it back to him. Cudos to you for trying to find the owners. Nothing is more gratifying.
I found a class ring while flipping a house. Easily found the guy on FB, but apparently he didn't want it because I offered to meet up with him on 3 separate occasions and he stood me up each time. Basically wasted my time, telling me he'd be there and each time he didn't show, he wouldn't respond to let me know he wasn't coming. So the 3rd time he didn't show, I left the ring under the edge of a parking block at a coffee shop parking lot and told him where he could find it. About 4 months later, I was passing by that shop and out of curiosity, I stopped to see if it was still there. It was and it is probably still there 3 years later. I tried.
I took the summer off...but, for the last 3 summers, I was hot n' heavy into metal detecting. It's absolutely crazy what a person can dig-up!! Very fun hobby and a great way to clean-up the environment!
Thanks for sharing! I found an Iphone metel detecting it seems to work but it is locked, tried craigslist to find the owner no luck, does anyone one know what I can do with it?
Jack Hartzell, it's so interesting that you say that. I watch 3 fishing channels and all of the guys use artificial bait, they catch tons of fish but I rarely have any luck with it. I wondered if I am not doing it right.
Your desire to return items to owners is highly commendable. My hat goes off to you for having such integrity. Very very cool. First time I’ve ever seen your channel. Be safe and great job
Until I saw the post saying you recut the video adding more to it, I started to ask myself why are there so many sunglasses down there? Either people throw their glasses in and make a wish , some odd bs tought, but then I thought no, maybe they were extremely clumsy, or, people have been in struggles there, maybe tossed in the water or attempts to get killed, possibly even a place where many women or girls disappear. I surely hope this is a place known to many people so investigations happen. They all seem to be young girl's or adolescent girls sunglasses. My daughter has worn thos for years.. I'd hate to see some sicko hurt anybody else's kids down there.. The thought thoroughly sickens me because I have 3 daughters that I love.. I'm sure certain somebody ended up in the water, their money left behind with an id and a bank card. I'd bet that person is a missing person, you better turn that in and find out.
