Hi Andy, Thank you for your time in both watching and commenting. I shall try and cover as many as possible over the conning months so check back from time to time and thanks again for commenting it really helps our channel grow.
Another enjoyable video from a flooded river, well done! That was a cracking chub too. I had a disappointing 4 day trip to the Wye about three weeks ago. The level had been three metres up but was dropping nicely. It was hard going with just one barbel caught on the trip.
Hi Harry, The Wye can be a tough mistress this time of the year as she rises high up in the hills and cools quickly. Thank you for your time in watching and especially commenting, it's really helping the channel grow and keeping me on my toes.
Hi, thank you so much for taking the time to comment it means a lot and it helps us grow. I must admit it was a bit higher than I expected but it's great to see the river so full
Hi Steve, I was shocked and slightly disappointed by the river conditions as it's a beautiful stretch to wade and trot for grayling so I might revisit it in January. Like the perch you can count on a chub to save the day. Massive thanks as always for taking the time to comment it's the oxygen that keep us going.
Lots of big chub a little upstream on the Builth club stretch . Shame about the conditions , it seems to have been over 2m for over a month on the Gro park stretch delaying the start of the winter Grayling season
Hi, Big thanks for sharing such quality local info and thank you for taking the time to comment. I planning on a gew days both trotting and fly fishing for grayling in midwinter.
Well I'd have lost money there that first peg was screaming fish as soon as I saw the bush overhanging and that bit of slack just shows you how fickle the angling gods can be , but what a cracking chub . 👍
Hi Martin, I spend far too much time in that peg trying to prove my hunch right and spent the drive home wishing I'd of settled into the chub swim, which is the biggest chub I've seen come out of the Wye and I'd be surprised if it's ever seen the bank before. Thank you kindly for your time spend commenting it is really helping our channel grow.
@@AndyPulford trouble is we'd have been sat twiddling our thumbs and daydreaming " with the days getting shorter you can't afford to stick it out , found that winter chub fishing nothing fancy bit of mashed bread open ended feeder two or three cast's nothing doing I'm on my bike to the next likely peg, hit and miss fishing and definitely more misses. 🤣
Well done on a flooded river, why has everyone got a drone except me 🤬 i might have to invest as the footage looks ace....im of to find you on Instagram now lol
Hi, It was a tough gig and not what I had in mind but you can only fish the river that's infront of you. The drone used was a very old DJI spark but with a bit of tweaking it produces a good image plus it's very small compact and you can charge the battery in the drone which is a massive bonus if your going to be carrying it about all day. The range isn't great and it's not the stable compared to the mavic series but I find with drone footage less is more. Hope this helps. I'm embarrassed by my Instagram but I'm told it's important so don't judge me. Thanks as always for your continued support.
🤣🤣 embarrassed...i was going to do a parkland piker one but never got round to it...mine is just me and my stuff, family, fishing, walking, drinking, eating etc etc ...i followed you now anyway....
Hi Tom, You are very kind and thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Its a great help in building our channel and community. My app of choice is the official Met Office app, it's by far the most accurate and detailed. Hope this helps and thanks again for your time
Hi Steve, I had planned for a day trotting for grayling but like perch you can always count on a chub to save the day and I must admit it was a " clonker " of a fish. Thank you kindly for the continued support and taking the time to comment.
@@silentangling I'm always amused that chub are 'clonkers', barbel are 'big girls' or 'splashers', roach when large are 'dog roach', bream are 'bin lids'. Maybe I'm a bit bit weird. 😀
@@stevewilliams5428 I think the late great John Wilson had a lot to do with it. My favourite has got to be crocs for big pike. There's one thing you can be certain about there'll be no " kissing em and throwing em back " on this channel. Thank your mother for the rabbits !
