Couldn't agree more. They're an absolute joy. This reminds me of all my uncles that I'd nod and agree with as a kid because I couldn't understand half of what they were saying but you'd laugh and smile until your face hurt because your mam and dad and aunties were raising the roof with joy at hearing tales that you couldn't make head nor tail of. This video makes me tearful for those daft, wonderful days. I can't wait to show this to my mam.
I have only just come across this video. These two farmers are my grandmothers’ brothers, it is nice to finally have an image of who they are. I can now see the likeness between Gerwyn and my father. A great video of two extremely hardworking farmers with what looks like a great sense of humour, dal ati y George Brothers 👏🏻
I have met these to gentlemen a few times on their farm and they have had me in stitches laughing listening to their stories and humour. Proper old fashioned straight talking welshmen 👍
Looks are deceiving - these two old school farmers memories and wit are as sharp as an arrow. They remind me of my grandfather an old-school North Herefordshire farmer who would laugh and laugh too. A hard life with a smile.
I work with an ex farmer who are like these blokes. 30 years he done it for and it’s the first time he’s worked in a factory. Cracking bloke will do anything for you and if you’re having problems on a machine etc he’ll help you and show you what you need to know
@@alynwillams4297 Hey, he sounds a great bloke mate. I get it - my grandfather was a farmer in north Herefordshire and he had that same spirit. Take care.
I was there, I stocked the shed for Dave. It was full of parts from Riverlea, Crymmych. Seems such along time ago. I think I remember them, but they looked a lot tougher then in their younger days. Wel.l done to them, there used to be a lot of similar farmers about at the time, but most have gone years ago. Enjoyable watch. Well done to you both and to Dave Hill. From Rod
Thank you Riverlea Happy memories I used to work for farmers like the George Brothers learnt more from people of the land than school. Sad to see this way of life dying out agribusiness farming not good for people land or animal....
Iv been in your lovely country last year iv meat 4 people before in my life from whales and they were the nicest people iv ever met and these two brothers sound just like what the welsh are made of truly as we say in Ireland sound people and the nicest god bless you all
This is brilliant,,it’s like listening to Irish farmers from Kerry,,I haven’t a clue what their saying,,but aren’t they happy,,the essence of life,,with the greatest of respect,,,it’s living history,,
I'm a Collins from Buŕry Port . My father Len was brought up in Kingswood with Gerwyn & Hywel. We built a property in Kingswood , these 2 brawds are brilliant. First language cymraeg , iawn bois . Arbenig
What is this dialect called? I'm from California and I can only understand maybe 25% of what they're saying. Do most people speak welsh as a first language in the town they're from?
