Don’t poo in your drinking water, don’t drink from the water pool after the animals, don’t throw your waste in your water sources. But all the kids can go to school and be taught about religion and politics.

It's surprising that while all the kids can go to school to learn about religion and politics, basic hygiene and sanitation education are often overlooked. How do you think we can prioritize essential health education in these communities? What other basic needs do you think are being neglected?
It is profoundly sad to see the thousands of tons of garbage in waterways in many parts of this Planet. It is mind boggling that the most precious of resources on this world is used to flush out garbage.
It's been like this for millennia. In ancient Rome, the human waste of a couple million was dumped into the Tiber. Poor Ostia Antica 15 miles down river. No wonder they built so many aqueducts to get fresh water straight from the mountain springs.
Yeah I can't understand why extremely poor people with no running water, electricity or education, living in shacks made of garbage dont make littering a priority!? Most here are probably more worried about how to feed their families and hope the water they drink or bath in doesn't make them sick or die. I hate how much pollution and littering goes on in this world but I guess pick your battles.
Das ist westlicher Abfall der in diesen armen Ländern entsorgt wird. Diese Länder kippen das in die Natur und kassieren das Geld dafür um sich ein schönes Leben zu machen. Die scheißen auf die Bevölkerung.
In the UK our rivers were once polluted in just the same way & some still are in other more sinister ways but not because we were/are a developing country & worry more about our next meal or if we had electricty or not but because we were/are ignorant & didn't care... same applies wherever pollution is.
Great how they just leave all the garbage laying around as if it is the plants job to pick up after them!!! We’re not perfect here either!! but that is absolutely shameful and disgusting!!! Where do they think that is going to end up? And yes it will affect them and all of us!!! negatively in the long run. So sad, and NO there is NO excuse to do that!!!
NightShade there IS an excuse, it's called IGNORANCE! They have never been taught any different and they keep dumping garbage where ever they will and they don't know about the diseases that filthy water carries so they keep getting sick and transmitting their illnesses around the world!
These people are obviously poor - many don't even have shoes. While I agree the waterways should not be used as their waste disposal, I seriously doubt there is enough money to support a municipal waste management program. While American waterways are by no means free of garbage, they're a lot cleaner thanks to waste management and environmental protections. We should be thankful we have the means to have those things and maybe be a little less judgy of the poor people in this video.

No pride in their country, their children or in the little possessions they might have! I’m sure the women will soon all come out and start washing their clothes in the filthy water. Also the several people that have autos are all in the water. I don’t understand the reasoning in this!!
Месево грязи, отходов и мусора. В России, когда тают снега, реки наполняются кристально чистой водой. А если в горах тает снег, то горные реки становятся хрустальными.
You do not need to live well in order to pick up all of that trash. They should be ashamed. Show's the level of their society.........If I was there, I swear, I'd be cleaning. It really bothers me. Especially knowing what it does to the wildlife, and then once it empties to the ocean. It isn't right..
Сколько видео длилось,столько и мусор находился в реке! Мусор,мусор,мусор! И дети рядом,у мусорки! И потом им не хватает питьевой воды,чистой воды! Как можно в реку,в воду мусор бросать в такой степени! Вода-источник жизни! Потом не жалуйтесь,что природа отомстила наводнения и прочими катаклизмами! Это ужасно!
There is no excuse for all that trash to be in the water and being sent to the main water way. Given that all those children are round without anyone telling them to get outta that nasty water, I’m guessing these kids are essentially raising themselves.
O que me impreciona não é a chegada das águas depois da seca. É a quantidade de lixo no leito do rio improvisado. A quantidade de crianças em volta e dentro dessa água suja, ficar doente aí é muito fácil, deu dó de ver como tratam a chegada das águas que saciam a sede e traz vida em um ambiente tão repleto de lixo. Limpem o leito desse lugar para não causar doenças.

Very nice that your water is coming back. But your river bed is so filthy. It makes your kids sick. Why did you clean the river bed in the dry season? Incomprehensible to me. Maybe I recognize your problems. But the dirt isn't either.

If only they could build a series of large gabions and leaky weirs then they could get all that water into the land instead of letting it cut deeper into it
صدمه ، ما كنت متوقع ان سائلة صنعاء نهاية جريانها بهذا الشكل وان كنت مفكر ان السائله مبلطه الى آخر مخرج بصنعاء، شي مخزي ومحزن ان تمر هذا السيول من بين البيوت والطرقات من دون حواجز جانبيه وأيضاً كمية القمامه في السائله .
Even the poorest can bend and pick up trash. Do you know how far that trash travels once it hits the currents of the oceans ? How many marine animals die from getting entangled or from sollowing the trash ? Thousands? Tens of thousands? Millions!
They must use the river as their garbage can how disgusting why ain't they out there with nets getting the garbage there's enough people standing around to get all the garbage with nets ridiculous😮
