I grew up loving journalists and the profession, as they were never wavy in their convictions. Today, we have journalism without men of conviction. We just have public analysts disguising as journalists and media practitioners. You can't tell, for instance, the position of Arise TV on the issue of the true House of Assembly in Rivers State. Journalists should be bold enough to tell anybody who moved from his political party to another that he has lost his seat! Endless analysis is kwashiorkor journalism!

If the LG chairmen embezzled the LG funds then the governor should do the needful. I don’t know why the governor is letting a lot slide. Hand them over to EFCC until every penny is recovered and again use the RSHA to squash the court order that restrain EFFC from investigating the state coffers and past administrations.
The governor should not conduct any election. The Supreme Court is an appendage of APC. If you want to the Local Government to be autonomous then make it balance.
No more caretaker comeetee said by the law. How can you be hand pick by one man instead of the people you are to serve. You are a hungary boy. Let election be done immidiately obey nigeria law and constitution.
Foolish talk from tanzeelalhussain. Has anyone gone to jail since Wike left a government house in 2023? Has any caretaker chairmen gone to jail in Nigeria since many serving and ex-governors has been appointing caretakers over local government pending elections to replace the ex-Wikes Local Chairmen whose 3 years term has expired? If these expired & decamped 25 lawmakers are serious, why should pro-Wike APC caretakers' chairman take INEC to court to stop the release of voters' list in preparation for the next local government election in rivers state. The (pro-Wike APC/PDP party men) are afraid of conducting LG election in rivers state. Because they know they are overwhelmed by people's government.
This Arise TV and double standards, why not ask him where he will get the funds to execute the projects when the Supreme court has barred the FG from giving them allocations since they're not elected?
The FG will pay to State - LG joint account for the next three months before they will start to pay directly to LG account. So the caretakers will still have funds for the next three months. Also any funds not remitted by FG to LG caretakers will be refunded when Elected chairman emerged, so the LG under the caretakers can borrow money to run the LG and the debt will be paid by the in coming elected chairmen. So be rest assured that some states will continue with caretakers for the next 6 to 8 months.
