Huzzah for Bollywood! I remember watching Dola Re Dola like a hundred times, which I think is another scene from Devdas. :D and there was a whole year where my go-to youtube dance videos were bharatanatyam dance. gorgeous stuff!

Perfect steps, perfect words, perfect storyline ...whatelse do we need.. Srk os just a bonus on top of all this.. He came to this place becuase he lost paro(childhood love).. and now chandramukhi(the girl dancing) was in love with him... And at the end he herd the marrage so it reminded him of her love's marrage.. and then he drank it even knowingly that he can not tolerate alcohol..

This dance is one of Indian Traditional dance called 'Katthak', in this form of dance the song is interpreted through the body movements. It was once considered a dance which North Indian royals preferred to see in their courtyard.

I'm not a Bollywood fan...but this is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's a masterpiece in so many ways.

Also courtesans were expected to be educated and articulate enough to write poems and sing songs to entertain their customers.
