Great content and videography. I like that you don't skip showing how the Rivian actually do the work on various obstacles. Too many of these kinds of videos are very pretty, but are light on demonstrating the truck's capabilities.

Excellent videos. This one was just superlative in giving us beautiful scenery while showcasing the Rivian's capabilities. Liked how you showed responsible camping, including picking up other irresponsible camper's trash. Kudos all the way around.
Thanks for showing the road trip to the trail, so people don’t assume there’s a charger at the trailhead. Yes, you can road trip and still have enough range to off road.

Great video. I love the R1T but a bit reluctant to purchase one after reading about some of the issues. Drive units failing, truck bricking, creaking sounds from axle shafts, etc.
Valid concerns, but need to consider the nature of forums and social media. A handful of owners that actually have issues are always going to be the most vocal. At around 12 or 13k trucks on the road now, several of them are bound to have issues and pop up in social media forums. Thousands of others have absolutely no issues. There are several youtube channels from off road recovery guys with videos documenting recoveries of broken/stuck vehicles from every well known off road manufacturer out there. Go to any forum page from any brand - Jeep, Bronco, etc, and the same volumes of stories of issues and things breaking are there. The R1T just gets the same issues amplified because it is a brand new category and new technology in a lot of ways. I haven't seen anything that leads me to believe the R1T has any more or less problems than any well known vehicle brand. This video was an awesome example of how fun they are and perform nearly flawlessly with no issues for a lot of owners. All that said, for those that do have problems, there are definite growing pains with building out their service centers and model of obtaining service that need some work, but I expect those to improve with growth.

No one has imagination or any clue about anything. An ev truck = - Way less risk of brushfire due to no hot exhaust /muffler -no need to buy locking differential or Regear your differential for bigger tires. -No need to spend $100s in gas to go off road for a weekend -Less risk of tipping over low center of gravity -no risk of flooding or starving the motor of engine oil on extremely steep inclines - no worry about over heating and needing big electric fans and transmission coolers -No slipping the torque converter or riding the clutch when crawling. One foot driving -silence so you can enjoy nature, and actually hear the spotters yell at u -Don’t need a dual battery set up to power your off-road lights and camping gear or generally just worry about running out of battery and needing a jumpstart (ironically) -zero t case bullshit trying to shift into 2H/4H/4L. That almost never goes smoothly with either electronic actuated T case or a manual shift .anyone who tells you otherwise is bullshitting. -insane instant power to fly over deep sand -no ugly snorkel or air filter setup that gets clogged with dust all the time -no power loss in high altitude mountains
How are you going to be charging up if you're offroading for the weekend? lol. Even for day trip, you'd better plan out your mileage well. You are correct on the other points. Not sure about being able to put on bigger tires though. Don't think you can go much bigger with those fenders. You're also going to be limited in articulation.
i just recently got an R1T and i'm dying to try offroading but purchased it with the 21" street tires. Did any of those guys go up the trail in road tires? or were they all all terrain 20"? Cool videos btw :)
Hey Dave! The tire that comes with the 22” is low profile and doesn’t really have a good tread pattern or depth for off road use - it may be possible but I personally wouldn’t recommend it.
That thing must have some garbage tires if you had to lower your tire pressure on that trail. Giving up mileage for an unnecessary gain in traction. Noob
