If you hate Riyadh just say so without spreading false information. Danger and Saudi don't go along very well. That guy doesn't know what he's talking about, these are just nice poor people and the teens of poor families tend to hang outside in the neighboorhood play football "soccer" and chill, nothing in the realm of danger! but for some reason your driver gets that feeling, I'm not sure why. Him not being native should be enough for you to know that he has no clue on what he's talking about, how would he know!! A possibility is that he wanted to milk your money and drive you around as long as he could.

True! Ive worked in saudi for 2years. A place when your out with your family in the middle of the night, no one will hurt you. In fact, if you're in trouble, people will help. One of the safest country on Earth. There is only one danger i know in Saudi and it's only one danger. That is if you're a gay and you make show off, you might get in trouble. However, even you're gay but behave properly, you're safe. That's my observation and experienced.

The problem with your comment, and all the other comments like it, is that you shame yourself by demonstrating that perhaps Saudis are not capable of logic: The fact that there is a "most dangerous part" does not mean that Peter is saying it is dangerous, and even if he was, it is not saying anything about the overall "dangerousness" of Riyadh. It is the same as if Peter was to say the most dangerous thing in the countryside was baboons, and then hypersensitive and irrational comments were to appear saying "no! Saudi countryside is safe! Actually we don't have gangsters, because people here live with groups ( big families ), and they forced to act with respect towards others so they don't ashame the family name, aslo if someone is poor and can't get work or anything, the same family will take care of him financially, people here don't kill each other so easily, so we don't have lot of crimes, but we do have sexual crimes, to be honest, so yeah
I think that's a great feature to have, respect, education, is almost dead in lot of countries, culture dies. The Uber Driver was not an insider. He doesn’t know. Those poor neighborhood look rough but it’s not dangerous. And most who live there are not Saudi because the rent is cheep there.

On my last visit, December 2019 I was told that it is safe all over in Riyadh and you have nothing to worry about noe be afraid. I never seen anything questionable to me in Riyadh regarding my safety. I feel much safer in Riyadh than my own country.

شيئ غريب.. السائق تعمد التشويه... لا توجد عصابات أو مافيا فنحن بالسعودية وليس بالمكسيك أو ألمانيا.. الذي زرته هو حي شعبي قديم.. وليس الأماكن المهجوره.. يوجد أطفال يلعبون خارج المنزل ولا خوف عليهم.. ولا توجد سكاكين.. القانون يطبق على الجميع سواء مواطنين أو وافدين أو زائرين أو كبار الشخصيات أو الأمراء.. الجميع يطبق عليه القانون.. لاتوجد عصابات ابدا ولا توجد أماكن خطرة
