+Sebastian Behrens I genuinely have been looking for this song for over a year. Today it was randomly next to a song I listened to. Feel you deeply, Sebastian!
2021 still listening to this Jam. This song got me through the darkest of days... when those trumpets come in I just want to get back up and keep trying. That's what the song means to me. Thank you RJD2 thank you brother. All the way from South Africa
My brother showed this to me when I was a kid. Its amazing to me how well you remember good parts of your childhood, even over a decade later. Older brothers kick ass.
I and that older brother. And just now called my younger across the country while he was playing at a pinball arcade. This came on there and he played it thru the phone and said, "you introduced me to this so long ago!"
HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! This is the song I have been looking for! I had this rising trumpet song stuck in my goddamded head and I couldn't remember where I heard it. I was thinking Kill Bill and checked the whole soundtrack and then just gave up cause I had NO IDEA!! and now I just stumble onto it random;y! Hah! Universe:0 This guy: 1
Detested kite! Thou liest! My train are men of choice and rarest parts that all particulars of duty know, and in the most exact regard supports the worships of their name. Oh... most small fault, how ugly didst thou in Cordelia show! Which, like an engine, wrenched my frame of nature... Drew from heart... all love! And added to the Gall!!
I have listened to this album for years thinking it was really obscure and underground. I'm amazed that this nearly has 12 million views as I type this. I'm glad so many people are discovering this great music. I STRONGLY urge everyone to listen to the full album, which is a classic in my opinion.
if anyone is curious, here all the samples in the song: Guitar part:A Taste of Honey-Paul Desmond Hmm Hmm hm:Outside Woman Blues(sample begins at the end) -Cream Horns part:Secretary-Betty Wright Ahhhohhh: I didn't understand- Elliott Smith Some samples I still can't identify is the drum break(Probably the delfonics- ready or not?) and Supposedly a clockwork orage film song called timesteps by Wendy Carlos.
Man this takes me back to when all my homies skated together like 12 deep listening to his beats and being happy ghetto kids. Now all those homies are gone it's wild to think about.
so creative it was actually stolen. Don't get me wrong, I love this one and I heard this one way before discovering the real one behind it, but if you listen very closely to Roy Buchanan - Soul Dressing, you'll find all the similarities you need. :) Still this is awesome!
OG Puffy, DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
been hearing this song every few months NEVER being able to figure out the name since 4 years ago. Finally i watch a youtube video of someone paragliding and see the song that is played during the video (this song) is written in the description. I have been searching for this for 4 years oh my god finally
same here :D even if i heard it first in some kind of gaming video years ago... i tried so hard to figure out the name ... and suddenly when i turned on spotify radio yesterday, it was there :) I really love this Song !!
Here also thanks to a RU-vidr (Every Frame A Painting). Thank you RU-vidrs who do mention whatever music they use in the video/description, I can't understand why not all of them do that.
This reminds me of a song that would be on the beginning of a Movie. Like the character waking up in bed, brushes his teeth, start a his day and goes to work lol
To anyone who's still listening to this in 2023, a big ✌ ✌ ✌ I'm only here though because I was just browsing around DATPIFF and I found an very old gem relic remix of Notorious B.I.G. vs. RJD2 Ghostwriter Gimme the Loot by C-Eight (who was an DJ 'fore he 'came an rapper). The tune is just entirely sick and straight on point. Still a masterpiece. but yeah, RJD2 sick and underrated artist. This instrumental just can't be forgotten.
Alowishus Devadander Abercrombie Make sure he pays attention and obeys traffic laws. One question. How does he manage to play the entire song while driving? I'd imagined that it would take quite a lot of instruments instruments.
I came here because I was told about RJD2 by a friend and I fell in love with this very song, overplayed the fuck out of it and it was eventually forgotten. then 5 years later I heard it as bumper music on the local talk radio station, it was familiar as hell but could not remember the name. I became obsessed with finding the songs identity and, 2 years later I'm finally here and the universe is at peace again.
I don't think I will EVER get tired of this song. No matter the circumstance- sad, happy, worried, this song will always be my first choice. Obsessed? Hrm... maybe a little.
i saw him live at variety playhouse and it was one of my favorite concerts ive ever been to, it wasnt a huge venue but the energy was crazy. this was the last song he played and everyone was hype lol, sounded amazing. i will never stop enjoying this one!!
I would listen to this song on repeat when I lost someone very important in my family. Finally found it a year later and brought back those memories. This song still helps me cope with everyday life.
This song is Timeless From the Day it was Recorded to 2022 and Beyond the Beyond! RJD2 you are a Master of your Craft, I'll Never Stop Jamming these Tunes!
One of the very few records I can put on a continuous loop, and not get tired of. This is brilliant. Don't quite recall how I bumped into it, but the name stuck with me ever since.
Last rest I was realized as a 'became a vortex' in my dream sleep. Woke up a happier compilation of myself. I HAVE THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF TEMPTATION IN MY EXCITEMENT TWO additions++to my wake state of life. Love Jessy
My cousin had this in a mix tape he made for his skating, years ago. I heard it on that car commercial recently and was the only way I could find it! lol, it's hard to describe a song with nearly no words!
This song puts some tears in my eyes anytime I listen to it. I see it describing being down at the bottom and then overcoming everything that put you down! Not once but twice in the song!
I know this song for 8 months, i've listened to many new songs (for me) since I've found it, but my opinion hasn't changed: This is actually my favourite song. I mean, the beat from 1:30 to 2:10 is just incredibly awesome. The bass, the trumpets, the drums, all that is perfectly constructed and sounds better than anything. I can't stop listening to it and moving/dancing/making some strange movements in rythm. It's so powerful. Thanks RJD2 !
Young lady introduced me to a taste of honey a week ago and found out it's one of the samples to one of my favorite rjd2 songs for years...I think I'm in love.
ADHD is just a bullshit "disorder" the medical industry created to get a bunch of people on meds for money. It's perfectly fucking normal if you think about a badass instrumental during a fucking pointless public school class.
I just searched everywhere for this artist as I couldn't remember the name. Thank the lord for google play music and I just put in 'Ghost' and there it was. Wanted to test my new headphones with the best of the best. Love it.
Memories of me and my flatmates having fun and drinking beer late at night in our living room, while this song (and nujabe, Chinese man, and so on) was playing on RU-vid. I miss those times 🎶 thanks rdj2
elliott smith sampled in this song... i noticed it while hiking the appalachian trail in 2011 and said "oh that's elliott smith's voice on top of 4 other elliott smith voices harmonizing with himself' because he was.
I remember hearing this song in an "old" documentary about skateboarding, watching Rune Glifberg on the half-pipe when this song came on, it was just so well implementet. Nostalgia.
+Purple perhaps his service provider gave him the ability to use the internet, and if it werent for them, this song wouldn't have showed up on his computer.
Alex Pigeon This music is used in hector's outro's of his videos and his outro to his vlogs is ill see you at the same damn time! here is an example: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XBarGJ1dXB0.htmlm11s
