RKL Returns! (W/ Tony Foresta) Let's Talk About It 

It's really cool seeing them playing shows as a new RKL fan. What's really cool is that my younger brother is friends with one of the RKL guys sons and my bros band actually uses some of RKLs old sound equipment!

RKL was my gateway into Strung Out, Lagwagon, Screeching Weasel, bands I will never forget, this is great, I know the internet has some stupid expectations, I hope they have fun and tour!!!!

Firstly, a huge yes to a Waste/Reagan vid! I definitely share your optimism for Tony fronting RKL. I think it’s gonna be rad af!

I love RKL. Friends with Jason, Bomer and Dan Sites. Jason 100% the voice of RKL but the importance of Bomer can not be overlooked. Bomer was 100% RKL. I was there and I saw it first hand. He taught me so much on drums and bass playing. I was there for Slang and it was equally amazing. I’m excited for the reunion. But to make a video and leave out Bomer who was so important to everything is crazy. Joe’s a bad ass bass player and one of my favorites, but remember who wrote it all… Bomer! RKL with anyone but Joe’s ability to play what Bomer wrote in the beginning and what Joe does for the band would never be the same and would not be the same. No other bass player would work. That says a lot for Joe and says even more for Bomer. Chris and Berry are the old school tone kings! The P-90 Marshall tone of Chris and Les Paul boogie combo into a 4-12 of Berry was way ahead of the game. It was so Rock n’ Roll. RKL is one of the greatest band ever and I was lucky enough to have seen them to many times to count. RKL was so important to my hometown of Bakersfield. Can’t wait for more. Thanks for this, Jack! I saw RKL a bunch back in the day, and am beyond excited about this new era. I agree with you, Tony seems to be a perfect fit!

Nothing like an RKL live show ! My favorite band from back in the day that never got the respect they deserve. Screw dookie and blinkie dumbasses, RKL is the real thing.

I Just love Dave, he is the most consistent and solid drummer, listen to any Lagwagon album, guy never is off.

I think it sounds sick. Love the waste, and love RKL.

I'd be willing to wager RKL will be playing several of the Punk in Drublic dates. Hope to see Diesel Boy there as well... especially the Portland show!

As also a die-hard fan for Waste and RKL, I feel nothing but pride for Tony. Since his love for punk is no secret to anyone, he definitely took this as a huge honor. Both bands share a very speedy and youthful energy, so I have no doubt that Tony would fit right in and maybe adding his metal background might add the music some new flavors. As long as Tony can still give deserved attention to Waste, I believe this a good step forward.

I saw RKL in the 80's, awesome!!! They were great. They went away and returned with their Epitaph release, and it was awesome! Jason Sears was RKL, no question about it. I've heard this new incarnation, and it's awesome!!! RKL is, well, awesome!!! Hoping BE7S gets to open for them sometime during 2024!!!

I thought he sounded pretty good when they did sargasm. I think he could get pretty close to Jason’s voice with the effort, aside from his voice always sounding blown out. Hope they play some shows outside of festivals.

My dad grew up with these guys always talked very highly of them saying vince bomber and jason along with others i csnt think the names of were very great guys.

I hope they can actually play the tracks, the video of Lies they released recently is clearly sped up.

I think this rips! Not much mention of Bomber, I saw them in mid-80’s and with Jason also later years. I barely made it out of the drug scene able to re-build. There is nothing radder 80’s Cali- hardcore then RKL

I love RKL, I don't like Municipal Waste. Saw them with Circle Jerks. I thought they were a joke.

I'm glad they got a new singer ,I never got into rkl because hated the vocals.. but their music is amazing and can't wait to see what happens

As a SB local born and raised, I've seen RKL more times than I can remember from the1980s through 2000s. RKL without Jason on vocals is not something I would want to see or buy. Why get the band back together with some random... if you enjoy the musicians of RKL just go see Lagwagon. Don't think the locals will be too supportive of the new lineup and I predict this version of RKL won't even last as long as the lineup from the Reactivate album, and that had an original member (Bomber) filling in for Jason. Maybe they'll call the new record "We're back we're lame." 😂

I actually like them better with Tony than Jason. I know that is probably not a popular opinion...but I have always loved RKL...but have never been a huge fan of Jason's vocals. I think that Tony is an improvement.
