I remember Next came to Houston with Chris Tucker. They weren’t known. Crowd was quiet. Within a month or 2, those same songs were all over the radio. Jam and Lewis have no contract, just a handshake and 41 almost 42 years later they are well respected Rock and Roll Music Hall of Famers.
