I just don't understand why no one ever talks about the main fail point on almost every "cheaper" budget RC trucks... The front / rear differential drive cups and dogbone cross pins. Especially this little 1/14 scale and the repeating self righting aggressive throttling. I have both versions of the omni terminator and both completely destroyed the stock differential cups and dogbone cross pins after a handful of runs. I have upgraded both trucks with the "upgrade" S2 replacements and can at least confirm they hold up much better than stock as long as you upgrade both differential outdrive cups and dogbone shafts at the same time.

Exactly right. Think twice before you buy these budget cars. These crappy Chinese brands have almost zero QC in their production lines and release their production without all the necessary tests. Yes these cars are cheap but you may eventually end up spending a lot more than buying a decent brand at the start.

@@mengjieliu2820 yep, and I was disappointed to test and find out the cross pins on the *stock* dogbone shafts are indeed softer and weaker then the cross pins on the *upgraded* S2 dogbone shafts. When I originally replaced the differential outdrive cups with the stock shafts they were destroyed after a few runs due to the soft cross pins failing and tearing apart the outdrive cup slots. When you upgrade both the cups and shafts with the stronger cross pins then they hold up much better, but it's the point that the stock parts just do not hold up.

@@benlewis5469 I would say this is their strategy - they deliberately produce low quality parts to break on you, so you keep buying their replacement parts.

Cute little truck. I love my Omni Terminator but this isn't a Rlaarlo truck. They Co developed this with 3 other manufacturers. All 4 trucks are sold under different names but all made as the same place. Main difference is the Rlaarlo cost the most and has a 45a esc and the others are 35a esc and start at $99 plus come with 2 batteries. This isn't a win for Rlaarlo in my book. I wanted a large scale Omni Terminator. Not a mini version of the "mini 10th scale" original. Imagine how great a true 1/7 or 1/5 scale true Rlaarlo monster truck or basher buggy could be!

Maybe by or after Christmas I’m thjnking they have no choice and I ll bet it will be a buggy 1/10 size not a truck 😂. Give us what we want a true 1/10 hrsnite size Omni termknator would be awesome . Doing it will best a granite though . They even make exact replicas of arrma and traxxas RC s in China selling on Ali express for half the price or less . I was shocked . Arrma forum people say they’re legit . Makes ke think a lot of the parts come from China. They probably do though imo .

Damn! They (Rlaarlo) keeps coming up with these small bad to the bone trucks… what do we gotta do Joe?!? How do we get them to put out a proper 8th scale, or even a real 10th scale, truck/truggy with the same build quality? I know that when they finally do jump into the big boy toys that we will buy them up so fast your head’ll spin!!

@@FromThisViewPointif it's like the Omni Terminator they tricked me into pre-ordering by saying the price would go up after launch. I paid $249 pre order. Not only is it still that price but it's been on sale a low as $212 several times already. Besides, there are 4 versions of this truck by different manufacturers for a low as $99. Main difference is a 35a esc rather than 45a in this one.

But this truck would have to cost 500 just a few years ago so is it worth still , think how low profit margins are compared to T brand , how many American careers gone but still the normal for last 20 years , but with RC it took longer than most other products to produce equal or higher levels . Actually the five T is a good example of the first “ and was still worth buying the Losi till prices soured
