When you check the oil useing a rear paddock stand don’t it make the bike. Go up so the reading of the oil could be different

Thank you for your comment. To answer your question; with a good branded paddock stand, the bike should be raised to a minimal. Therefore, the oil level will not be affected. You can see in the video that the engine is still very straight. Hope this helps! 👊🏼

I can see from your video yes mate. Just I had 2006 Yamaha r1 over filled it and it was on rear paddock stand. Got R1M now I do have front and rear stand, thanks for getting bk to me

You have a special joint for the ratchet to remove the sparkplugs? is there a special trick to remove the ignition coils,because there are very tight fit

Hi, thank you for your comment. Yes, you can normally twist them to release the friction or worst case, you can carefully and slowly pry them out. Hope this helps! 👊👊

Hi mate, we appreciate everyone has opinions here and thanks for your input. However, this isn’t a rookie mistake… As you can see in the video, the intakes were fully shut and everything was cleaned prior to drying. 👊👊

@RyansMotorsportCentre it's just an added security and good practice, I can see the valves are shut but it does not mean that the dirt and debris can't enter.

can i use this oil in a 2017 mt10 or do i need fully synthetic for that year thanks

Hi mate. Yes, you can use the oil I use, Motul SAE 5000 10W-40 (semi-synthetic). Or, if you want to spend a bit more to gain better performance, you can use the Motul 300V. Hope this helps!

I took mine to a Yamaha dealer for an oil change and they put in the ap non synthetic, is this something I should be worried about or is it fine to ride around until the next oil change?

Hi mate. Just to confirm, is 'AP' the brand of oil, as I haven't heard of this type? However, the recommended oil is fully synthetic (depending on the oil obviously). But you can also use semi-synthetic too. Hope this helps!

@@RyansMotorsportCentre it’s the yamalube all purpose, non synthetic, I know the recommended is full synthetic, but the Yamaha dealer put in non synthetic

@@mikestackz854 Dealerships will always run things a bit differently as they conform to their brand’s specifications. Prices and your location could also matter here. I would just confirm with your dealership about the oil they use. Although semi-synthetic/ synthetic oil will always be better for your engine, I don’t think you should be worried!
