Ummm, Your attention to detail in some aspects is admirable, But It would have been educational to see where all that Metal ended up, and some detail of how you inspected the Oil Pump to make sure no crap got past the Strainer/filter, I noted that you didn't mention replacing Bolts 1-10 as there stretch and can't be reused (Yamaha specified) and I didn't see the 75° Angle applied to them either, You Gunned down the Clutch Boss Nut, Now that gives the impression to viewers thats the recommended proceedure but Yamaha specifically tell us not to fit that Nut likewise, Additionally its a staked Nut so should also be replaced (Again Yamaha Specified) and a Torque of 125nm applied. Not all bad lol, I like the way you lay everything out clean and tidy and the Crancase and components looked nice and clean. Your Videos are rather short, Jumping ahead of steps some folks would find interesting and helpful. 👍

@@kevinansell9341 Thanks for the honest comment. I understand you would have liked to see more in the video, but my videos aren’t teaching or tutorial-based. I am not trying to teach anyone to do engine work. My content is purely for entertainment and, yes, an insight into what I do at RMC if you enjoy motorcycles. So naturally, I will skip out on certain details... Although I didn’t show bolt or nut replacements, they were replaced, and I always follow the Yamaha specs as required! However, I will keep this in mind if you would like to see a bit more detail about the work I show. Thanks 👍

great vid, what gear let go? was it from pure abuse , just bad luck or common failure?

Thank you mate! A few gears of the gearbox shattered, and unfortunately it was due to rider error. However, I have seen a few Yamaha MT10 gearboxes go, so it's not uncommon.

@@RyansMotorsportCentrehey man I’ve got a 2024 mt10. In your professional opinion do you think quick shifters can lead to excessive wear? When you say rider error what exactly do you think he was doing? You’ve also got yourself a subscriber because this content is amazing! Keep it up!

@@speedyboi4623 I appreciate that, thank you mate! As for the quick shifter, as long as it’s set up correctly, it shouldn’t affect your gearbox. A lot of new motorcycles come with quick shifters standard! From what the MT10 owner told me, he was going through the gears on the paddock stand. This isn’t recommended as there is no load on the bike. Hope this helps!!
