Having never seen this before, (I'm British! Live in the UK!) I absolutely love it. Love Anne's sense of humour. She has been my favourite female singer since Snowbird. That must be almost 40 years! Wow! So sad that she has retired!
It's clear you live in the UK. In Canada, Snowbird is assigned in band before you have a hope in heck of it not being torture,. You all go home and actually practice causing your parents to remember you are in band. In my case my father had plans to soundproof my room , If they'd just wait a year or two as it's not like screwing up a non-Canadian piece or one of those made so any band sounds like they know what they are doing. You never, ever can just enjoy Snowbird without a flashback,
Rick Mercer is just so likeable as a host and interviewer! So funny! I really enjoyed this interview with Anne Murray .. seeing her bus, seeing her golf swing, and then a short snippet of her concert! Well done!
@@markdemell3717 Siri change the voice command so I edited to correct it. Calm down, I know it is Anne Murray, as I have been a fan for 50 years and saw her live three times in concert.
First time I ever heard Anne Murray sing we were in the Wentworth Valley, Nova Scotia, on our way to Corner Brook, Newfoundland. She was singing her Snowbird song - my immediate comment to my wife was, "This song will be a number ONE hit."
So nice to see Anne again. Her song Snowbird was one of her first big hits. She did not write the song but sang the song with the writer, Gene McLellan, on the original show coming from Halifax, N.S. called Singalong Jubilee. I think he also wrote Put Your Hand in the Hand which Anne also sings. So nice to see her again as always. Like myself, she is a true Maritimer...
Growing up Anne Murray and Helen Reddy (R.I.P.) were my biggest crushes. There singing was very calming. Felt like I was floating having my best day. I so wish Anne would come out of retirement. I'm sure she is doing little singing appearances here and there.
PFFFFF. Simplemente delicioso. God bless Anne she looks great , I met her at Eastern Sound recording studios in Toronto, back in 1979 while recording a demo . It was a wonderful time talking with her. Thanks Anne!!!!
Anne just found this interview and really enjoyed it. I also play golf and enjoyed your lesson. You have a great golf swing and I hope you are enjoying your time in Florida. Have fun.
I love Rick! This is in Lakeland Florida. It’s where I was born and raised. The golf course they are playing at is Cleveland heights. This is incredible. I missed a golden opportunity to meet him.
when i was in high school anne murray is my one favorite singer when i heard the song she sing You needed Me...1972 up to now...Philippines to Pampanga...
She is such a sweetheart. Just saw this, but I was listening to her crooning album in my car from Lindsay to Fenelon Falls and back. What a coincidence.
I was a kid in the sixties and Anne taught one year as a Phys Ed teacher in PEI's Athena school. In the spring she performed in our rural community hall, and was well received, at the end she announced she was done teaching and would be taking up singing full time, well the old guys in suspenders were shocked that she would give up such a stable career, for singing ! How wrong could they be !
ive seen her at a golf course in NS - shes super down to Earth and drives her own Mercedes golf cart from her cottage down the road to the course im a member of LOL
As a Habs and Anne Murray fan I am embarrassed by your use of the Habs logo. You must also recent 2/3 of the current team. When you reach about 50 you will realize what a waste of time and energy your tirades were.Life is short enjoy it, including Anne Murray.
did ann murrey make life better for suffering people? Did she change the conditions of society that creates economic refugees... AKA the homeless. Has ann murrey done ANYTHING... that addresses reality? No.
