I've got a pretty good network of woods roads on the front 60 acres of my place but the back 30 acres has always been a bit more challenging to access. There is a creek separating the back 30 acres from the rest of the property and the terrain is steep. Last week I had a forestry mulcher come in and clear an additional 1/2 mile of road so that we can better access our back 30. There was one ravine that proved to be too steep and a little boggy so we ended up having to build 26' long bridge across the bottom of the ravine with the assistance of my sawmill. Come join us as we build roads and bridges! Plan currently is to come back to the bridge later this winter after I mill some more lumber and make it a covered bridge which should be a really fun project.
