More than 270,000 people across 43 counties are yet to return home, following the devastating effects of the recent floods. This comes as even as hundreds of thousands of people try to readjust to the losses incurred after their property and farmlands were swept away by the raging waters. This comes even as residents of Garissa called on the government to make good its promise of repairing infrastructure that was destroyed by floods to enable their lives return to normalcy.
