You still giving away a program if someone can do 12 Sets of squads while eating 12 donuts at 65% RPE(I think that was the challenge?) Might be going for that at the end of this next bulk...
I like the way you talk in your videos, you say "You are going to do them like this" not "you want to try to do this and that", you make me feel like I have my own personal trainer in these videos. You got my subscription brother.
I'd love seing more videos like this: showcases of specific workouts from your programs. Good advertising for you, good informational material for the rest of us.
This guy is legit. Very informative and explains every exercise very well. I’ve been binge watching for the past 2 days and tried a tricep workout from a video he posted in 2017, I haven’t had a pump like that in a long time. Keep it up my man, as a fellow Ohioan hello from Cleveland...
I really enjoy all of your exercises plus I get excellent results, I will be doing those next week and keep you posted.Thank you and have a wonderful day sir.
I owe my biceps and everything else to you sir! You are amongst the greats that paved the way, I just have to repeat it! Love working out, especially since I learn a new exercise and never get bored of it. Confuse the body! Thanks Mr. Meadow's.
Great content John! I turn 43 in a few weeks and have been working out religiously since I was 18. Although it’s no where near as easy to get the gains as the younger years ,You give me the motivation to keep going strong. Keep up the great work!!
Damn! the 4K quality is *SWEET* "my arms are feeling as big as yours look" - that was pretty honest .. loved the tips and the straight walk through & demonstration ..
Your workouts are amazing and your explanation of the reasons why is so on point. I seen many of your workouts , they have so much knowledge, Thank you for being such a good teacher. I wish I would of found you years ago. Thanks again. I wish you success , health and happiness.
This is my next workout in the program! Great to see all the exercises - I need to watch these before all my lifts lol can’t wait to do this lift! Thanks for posting 😊
Hi John, big fan here. I just finished this arms workout, it was great. I found some of these exercises as I am not used to doing them took extra concentration to get the mind-muscle contraction happening but once I got there, provided a great pump, I think the triceps will be sore tomorrow. Knowing your success while working full-time in the finance industry is motivating for a chap like myself as I am in a similar position! Thanks 😎💪
Ive always found the exact same myself if ever there is one muscle group that really benefits massively from going lighter and slowing down the movement and getting a really good squeeze and tensing its biceps, I still have to remind myself from time to time even after all these years i can find myself increasing the weight and going heavy and pretty much just ego lifting (just concentrating on the movement A to B as opposed to the muscle itself) and my biceps stall as a result in their growth before going back to lighter weight
Best vids on the web John! I have been using your principles for almost 40 years..they will never let you down. Love the shirt..but I think you should cut the sleeves off and show off those guns!!!
Your 2 rope tricep exercise has gotten me some looks. I picked it up from one of your previous videos. I use it to get blood into the tricep before going heavy on them. I had a trainer walk up to me and comment on how cool it was and asked me where I learned it. I said Mountain Dog baby ! John Meadows !
John I agree with you about the lighter weight. I have been around guys in the gym that swear by the heaviest weight possible, but I always noticed that the female bodybuilders in the gym some were much more muscular than the ego lifting guys and the girls were working out with much lighter weight.
Well, I literally did bi/tris and calves today before I saw this video , but you can guarantee I’ll blasting myself with this whole workout next arm day!
Hey John, unrelated to arms, but on lying hamstring curls, does it use more hamstring when you shorten your calves by pointing your toes away? Or is it the same? Cheers
@mountaindog1 @John that was a killer workout. In particular the Strict Preacher Curls killed me with 1/2 my normal weight. The Kettlebell Skull Crushers too. Thanks man, great workout!
just came back of the gym and done the high incline on the smithmachine what a killer for my shoulders and pec great exercise !! Tomorrow definitley try those preacher curls !!!!! Please next time a special abdominal workout.
You guys like the content, buy the program! Support John and let him take your workouts to another level! Creeping death 2 and Doomsday are two of my favorite!
I love that you add the text from your programs, then it's a bit easier to understand what you mean! I'm sometimes a bit confused about how hard to go when doing your program :)
Finishing week 6 now Even in a slight deficit I was able to match the logbook or surpass some exercises for weights and reps . Great 6 week program John
It makes sense, going heavy all the time by continuing adding more weights on curling becomes just trying to force finish the movement & not feeling the contractions. I at first thought the shirt said Ho Lee Wu "Hollywood"...
How do you deliver your program is it in an app or on a web page with a user login.? Do you have any videos showing us how accessible it can be ie.. user friendly. I like how you give a description of what you are looking for and a link to a Exercise Index. The RPE and Goal.. 👍 super clean and simple to understand.
It was gonna be leg day until i saw this XD i always learn something from your videos. Thank you! Have you ever coach someone with hyper extended elbows? I have one and easily hurt my elbows during tricep movement especially skull crusher and overhead tri extension. i'm sticking to cable pressdown movement but i think i need some heavy exercise to progressive overload. It's been a big struggle having underdeveloped tri.
mountaindog1 Are you going to be running any specials on your programs I would like to buy a few but I don’t know if I can afford it at the current price
Always love watching your videos the bicep preacher curl is a killer but when I do it I just put a little twist on the dumbbell oooooh my kills my arms but hell they not growing can't figure it out but might be me 👍
I got this program when it first came out. Question on the weeks you have the floor press, would it be ok to substitute dumbbells for the barbell, and if so, would you recommend a more neutral grip when doing those? Thanks for all the great videos!
Serious question!!!!! Why do you recommend to keep the wrist straight when curling? If you do a slight bend back(about 30° away from the body) you get more contraction in the bicep with less forearm activation.( this was a jeff cavaliere tip, not something I made up) so I'm curious
So true, tendentious with age, as I got older lighter with better form less pain. Tendentious will kill your gains. Thank for your informative training tips. Legit brother!!
Anothrr Great vid! I notice you keep your elbows @ ~90° on tri pushdown. Any advantage or disadvantage to continue up with it and make it closer to 45° angle?
John I’ve been obsessing over getting my right tricep symmetrical with my left but of course I want to keep getting them both built, should I use more of a maintenance with my left till my right catches up....eventually, it’s driving me crazy trying to get the right up mainly the long head
