Beginning our expedition on August 10, 2012, we ventured toward Kathmandu, Nepal, crossing two international borders: India-Nepal and Nepal-China.
Covering a vast distance of 4,632 kilometers over 19 days, our route led us through notable locations such as Kodari in Nepal before crossing into Tibet/China via Zhangmu. Despite the challenges of obtaining permits for our Indian-registered vehicle and facing the possibility of last-minute cancellations, our determination prevailed, guiding us to the serene shores of Lake Mansarovar and the majestic presence of Mount Kailash.
