Road to Zion was a short travelogue from BYU TV that visited various location from Church History. While often a tad short on providing full context, its main audience was not historians but lay members simply looking for a fun trek through Church History sites.
A small village in the middle of the Finger Lakes district of New York, Palmyra was the perfect spot for the restoration of the gospel. In this episode, you will experience the bustle of downtown Palmyra, the fall colors on the Smith family farm and in the adjacent Sacred grove, and the climb through the woods to the top of the Hill Cumorah. Then you will travel to the nearby Peter Whitmer farm and to picturesque Seneca Lake.

Funny story about Hill Cumorah. I was on top as the sun was coming up, and one of the missionaries approached me and asked, "Have you seen Moroni?" I was trying not to react by giving him a look as if he was crazy. He went on to say, "I can't find him." I pointed to the statue, and said, "He's up there." He laughed and said, "I'm sorry. I've seen you here before and thought you knew that we had a cat named Moroni, and he hasn't eaten any of his food this morning." We both had a good laugh.

Thank you so much for adding this series. It was one of my favorite shows on BYUtv, and it was a sad day when they removed it from their on demand library. I bought it on DVD a couple of years ago, but having it here makes it so much more convenient to watch while on the go.

20:09 now the book goes for 100-120k. Which is why I had a nervous break down when I saw Elder Holland handling one casually during general conference without gloves.

I met the owner of that copy, and he didn't put gloves on either. Yeah, I know, acid from fingers, oils, etc. But, the owner let me handle it too -- without gloves. I guess if you own it, you can do whatever you want. ;)

Why does the first written account of the first vision in 1832 state that Joseph saw only "the Lord", while the official 1838 account mentions that God and Jesus were both present?
