Thanks Denny, you brought tears to my eyes, I left Guyana in 1979. As a young man I spent 3years (1975-1978) as a Postman in Mahaicony. It was perhaps some of the best days of my life. The people were so loving, the villages were great. SO MANY FRIENDS. I pray one day I can go back. Thanks again
Michael Allicock - best days of my life too. I went to Mahaicony Methodist and left Guyana in 1974. Never been back but longing to go before I pass on.
You are very intelligent, knowledgeable and well spoken my friend!! Love the videos. I left Guyana at 5 years old but thanks to you I feel like I never left. Thank you for that and the positivity 👏🏽. Keep up the good work. Salute from Brooklyn NY

Just discovered your vlogs and have enjoyed very much. I was born in Good Faith, Mahacony. Enjoyed your trip up East Coast Demerara. I left Guyana in 1968, I was 17 then. I did not recognize any of it. Some of the fruit trees are gone, buildings are different. The curves on the newly paved roads are somewhat the same. Thanks for sharing your video.
It a pleasure to be sitting in my Office in Orlando and you taking me down memory lane, Nice to see the "old" Mahaicony area my stomping ground and birthplace.
Denny this video was done excellent, the speed was nice u can see the beauty of the place also the explanation was good . Guyana is always special with natural land and nature.I hope the young people appreciate this land.Guyanese needed to recycle plastic glass engine oil metals and cardboard. We needed to keep the country green like your videos.u have done a good job with your family. The next video must be rice growing and harvesting thank u very much.
I just love your narration you give on your video**makes me feel like I am there also**I remember hearing of the tree in the middle of the road in Mahaicony also Googled it and the little bit of info is scary**Can't wait for the posting of other part of your video**
Denny you make me laugh when you pass that tree it sounds very scary never heard about that tree before but as always enjoying every videos. Nuff love to you and your beautiful family
Spent most of my life there .. the kumaka tree is not the original was replanted in the 80’s we used to get cigarettes there . folks from gt left quarter white and a pack of cigarettes as an offering to the dutch man
LOL. That is seriously funny stuff. We used to do the same at the sea wall on sunday morning :) . Everything on the purine leaf floats back to shore :)
Another beautiful video. Lovely Mahaica/mahaicony area. Pity you could not go down that Burma road. Was all a rice producing area in the 80s. I thought that tree in the middle of the road was called "Conversation Tree " ?. Thx for the video. Much Respect!
That tree is has a Dutch history,it's called kangkang Tri boom,Nd yes it's indeed that who try to cut the tree either fall sick or died,I am from suriname so know about that tree
Public comment. Every one can go back and rebuilding guyana and economic freedom of choice to enjoy democratic rights and freedom. Guyana 🇬🇾 is beautiful and amazing place.
Yes Denny u are right huge land space love country life... Make me laugh about that 🌳😂😂😂😂 it's a white house up the east bank road they say the same thing about

I left Guyana 27 years ago for NYC and never look back. But seeing your videos makes me want to visit and have some real food instead of articles and farm raised food...I hope you make a video of la grange and west Demerara soon. Looking forward to see la grange...thanks.
Hi there, Guyana is really a garden city, as I had mentioned to you before, I am getting to know a little more of the country side. Thank to your videos
I remember when I was a small child and my family n I passed there i heard that tree represents the war n the soldiers that give their lives for our freedom. You might have to look it up tho.
I'm bringing my friend from Jamaica and I would love to take a tour with you around wherever you going so she can see beautiful Guyana I would let you know when the time is near
Not enough parks and green spaces, stop the house lots along the high roags and lets it be green and beautiful. Nature is much more beautiful that some concrete structures.
