Jacobsbaai, Gannabos, Die Mond and Kagga Kamma. That was the plan. But the weather turned and it was to rain in the Tankwa over the weekend. I know camping in the rain in a Rooftop Tent is “super fun”, but we decided to dodge the rain so Kagga Kamma was cancelled.
We changed our plans on the spot, looked for sunnier pastures and drove criss-cross as if diesel was still cheap.
We made the most of the good weather, so we still visited Jacobsbaai and had AMAZING service and food at Weskus Plek. Then drove to Die Mond in the Tankwa Karoo, doubled back to Nieuwoudtsville and spent an evening at Gannabos (which I seriously will visit again as there is just too much to see) and drove al the way toe Kakamas and spent two nights at Khamkirri.
A planned trip that turned into a semi-planned trip. What an amazing adventure.
