In August of 2021, we drove more than 9000 km from Vancouver, BC to the Yukon and back. One of the highlights of our road trip, was a 5 day backcountry trek in Tombstone Territorial Park.
Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoy this video.

Hello Friends, if you don't know who I am, here's a little more about me.
My name is Brice.
I was born in Rennes, France.
After graduating from film school in 2003, I moved to Paris, starting a career in the film industry.
One of my first assignment was assistant editor on an animal documentary. Presented by Warner Independent Pictures and National Geographic Feature Films, "March of the Penguins" became a box office hit and Oscar winning documentary touching the hearts of audiences around the globe.
My time spent in Paris was shared between his film editing and my love of photography.
In 2009 I decided to follow my long sought after dream and moved to Canada.
My passion for photography soon became an obvious career and, whether it is for portraits at my Vancouver studio, or for larger commercial jobs on location, all around the world, I am now happy and proud to devote all of my time and energy doing what I love most. Photographing/filming athletes for running brands and magazines, and capturing my adventures for outdoors brands.
When I am not photographing big commercial projects, I also work on personal projects like "Studio to Trails". Which has been widely popular in North America amongst the trail running community.
My client list includes: Salomon, TED, New Balance, Asics, AirBnb, Canadian Running Magazine, British Columbia Magazine, Trail Runner Magazine.

Thank you for taking me on this fabulous hiking trip. My buddy 76 and I 68 we made it too to the valley of the Tombstone mountain, and yes we where same like you in aww of this fary tale scenery. Only we made it with the helicopter from Dawson City. We have same like you, we made some videos of our 10 week trip, yours are professional, mine are made with with cheap GoPro cameras, but perhaps you go for a sneak peek to Our Trip to the Yukon A Two Old Crows Production we will put the video of the helicopter ride on the 24.04.23 on YuuTube. Your video is super and we enjoyed it very much. Thanks again.

@@briceferrestudio Yes! We will be ready in early January to book as soon as spots open up. I noticed you didn't use hiking poles, did you feel alright without them?
@briceferrestudio
@briceferrestudio 2 года назад
@@michellevanderzon3735 I didn't use poles for a couple of reasons. The first one being that I always have my DSLR camera in my hand. It is never in a bag. So I couldn't carry poles because of that. And the second reason is that I never use them, even though I do this stuff a lot. But it's just a personal preference. I train a significant amount (every day) for long distances running and hiking and never felt the need to use poles. But if you are not used to this type of terrain with a large pack, I would definitely advise to bring some. 100% of the people we saw there had poles. :)

We shot this between Aug 17th and 21st 2021. I'd say bring warm waterproof clothes in September as well, but you are going to love it, I'm sure. It's spectacular up there.

Just love it! I saw someone go there by helicopter. Is it an alternative to days of back country hiking?
@briceferrestudio
@briceferrestudio 2 года назад
Thank you for watching. Yes, you can take a helicopter to the last Lake and then hike hike via Divide and Grizzly Lake.

Why don't you use the trekking poles and tourist seat pad (for butt)? Some places of Yukon looks exactly like Kamchatka and Hibiny in Russia.
@briceferrestudio
@briceferrestudio 7 месяцев назад
Nice! Sounds like we should visit Kamchatka and Hibiny at some point. We didn't own trekking poles when we did this trip. We do now. As for seats, we don't mind sitting on rocks.

Any geologist is going NUTS over the chert you are walking over...and NOT PICKING up. :) I keep stopping the vid hoping to catch the frame in focus of the rocks.
@briceferrestudio

I need to be educated on the rocks with walk by for sure. I noticed how beautiful and sharp they were and we did stop to look at them when we stopped, but did not film them. And since we did not bring any back (Leave no trace) we can't show them to people. I guess we'll have to go back. :) You should definitely visit Tombstone, if you haven't. It's amazing out there! Thank you so much for watching! I appreciate it.

Patagonia of the North? Nope. It's the Tombstones and doesn't need to be compared to anything by way of introduction. Nice video, but the Tombstones have a way of making good photographs and videos. I am glad you enjoyed it, but would prefer to not have this area 'advertised' for all the bucket listers out there. Go to Patagonia, the real deal, not 'patagonia of the north'.
@briceferrestudio
@briceferrestudio 2 года назад
Thank you for watching! I appreciate the feedback. I disagree with almost everything you just said, but I respect how you feel about it. I did go to Patagonia (the "Tombstone of the south") as well, and I can attest that the nickname "patagonia of the north" is well deserved. Such an incredible area. It was never on my bucket list, as I do not have a bucket list, but I am still glad I decided to take the trip there. I loved every second of it.
