Bled is such a beautiful area! Camped there back in 2018 for a couple of nights. Great hikes with even better views of the lake. Looks like something out of a fairytale in person.

It would be nice to stop by Nikola Tesla's birthplace. The place is named Smiljan. He was the greatest scientist of Serbian origin and was born in Croatia. There is a museum there today and a monument. Have a nice trip 😀

Yes, lake Bled is beautiful, but at times way too many tourists for my taste. You should try and go to the opposite side the lake just before sunrise. I do like your video style with sufficient short clips. Keep it up with your road trips 👍😎
Bald & Bankrupt would spend half video on 2:55 mosaic haha.. More slower way to go to Split and Dubrovnik but more beautiful would be via "Jadranska Magistrala" it's not highway but it goes via coastline and goes try many cities like Rijeka, Zadar, Sibenik, Split, Dubrovnik then try Montegro Herceg Novi, Tivat, Budva, Ulcinj...all the way to Albania border.. They all worth visit... Highway is faster ways but highways are boring and not scenic roads

I am on a permanent residence visa and I have travelled to Croatia and I did check with the embassy before I travelled although this was couple of years ago. Anyways your work is amazing!

Good luck with permit issue! I had a same kind of problem with the card of my wife several years ago. Took a while to fix. I expect you will not be able to enter Croatia during this trip, not with your wife at least. Very likely the Norwegian consulate will give you a document to drive though Schengen back to Norway within a certain time frame (two weeks?) and that if you get some passport/documents check on the road somewhere you have to show that document (a kind of Laissez-passer I expect, see no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laissez-passer )

Immigration issues can be really terrible at times. Not travelling much anywhere during the Corona makes its easier to forgot about such documents not needed everyday. I hope things can be resolved amiably.
That stau is there every day in the summer and every good skiing day in the winter more or less :). It's because there is no other way to go to Bohinj (which is another popular destination). And that other way around the lake is often closed, because people were taking it too much to avoid traffic and some parts of it are very narrow (where 2 cars can't meet even). For the last 30 years another bypass road is talked about/planned/dreamt of. But the there is lack of political will, poor legislation and otherwise a "SNAFU" situation. Welcome to the balkans! 😂 Supposedly in the next 10 years it will be built. Check again, but not before 2040, maybe 2050 to be safe (the balkan 10 years).
