Who are Kara and Nate?!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment. We discovered the world of “travel hacking” & became obsessed. So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world. Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with this lifestyle and did everything we could to keep going. 4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time. Van life was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎

The reunion made me tear up so much and cry when Kara got out of the car and hugged Bec so hard and her little gallop. You can totally tell they’re bffs. You guys inspired me to go for 100 countries when it wasn't really on my radar about 3-4 years ago. (I thought 75 might be doable eventually and I was at around 43 countries - which had taken me over 50 years to hit at that point.) I travelled pretty much throughout COVID and have spent the last 14 months travelling non-stop. Currently I am in Jordan, country #81 and will hit Chile, country #100 on Dec. 28th. Everything between now and then is already booked, so unless I die, it is HAPPENING. I can't believe it - and I am seriously grateful I ran across your channel almost 4 years ago. Oh, and before that, I also had a cancer battle. Actually it took over 4 years to defeat that MoFo. I am now 58 and am the healthiest and happiest in years. Just wanted to let you know the part you guys played in that. Thanks for the motivation to achieve a goal I thought was impossible. Best of luck on your future travels!! BTW, at the end, you are travelling through the part of Canada I grew up in. How cool is that?!

I have you and this channel to thank for posting Nate’s skin cancer story, after I watched it I realized the “weird scab” on my head was not healing and went to the dermatologist. I am now 2 weeks post-op on having that area of skin cancer removed… Thank You so much for not only the great travel content and fun adventures you post but for showing the real life struggles and stories!!! I love how Kara and Nate sticked with their word and promise, and actually made the trip to Canada this time, though it was later than what they originally planned. I've been following Eamon and Bec for awhile, and what they've gone through is definitely something no one would have had to go through. I'm so glad the reunion finally happened and you guys were able to go and joyfully celebrate a journey accomplished with them, even though it was riddled with hopelessness, depression, "why this to me?", and a bunch of emotions on the rollercoaster. This video was so inspirational for me in many ways. First I was excited that your first leg of the trip was around where I live. I grew up in Southern Indiana, but moved to Louisville, KY last year. Secondly, seeing how much you care for Bec and have been supportive throughout her journey is very comforting to me. I found this channel just after I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon cancer in October of last year. You guys have helped keep my mind off of my chemo and radiation treatments and everything that is involved with them. I am having major surgery in a couple weeks to remove what is left of the tumor and I know you all will be with me while I am recovering. Thanks for always being there and showing others how to enjoy every minute of being together and how to enjoy life through nature!

Would love to road trip through Canada into Banff and the Canadian Rockies! Currently exploring Montana and actually headed towards Glacier NP which should be pretty epic. Thanks for inspiring me to travel and film my own adventures!

Did that 30 years ago in a pickup truck. Awesome trip full of mountain goats, glaciers, fishing, waterfalls and camping. Have a great trip!

Kara looks absolutely radiant and happy 😊 and thin! and Nate has grown so much becoming self assured. All that marathon running on the ship caused Nate to meet an extraordinary challenge. These couple are inspiring and admirable in everything they do.

Love this video. Nate- my sincerest condolences on the loss of your grandmother. Kara- I think I am going to have to try peanut butter ramen. Kudo's to Eamon & Bec on the end of the horrific journey with cancer, have followed, prayed and looked fwd to each update of Bec's progress. The reunion at the end filled my heart with joy and gratitude for all four of you guys and I am looking fwd to an upcoming episode now of your time together during the visit. Love you all.
