I'd like to request something a bit out of left field. If you haven't already seen it, could you possibly react to Christopher Lee's work in Metal. As probably the oldest person ever to enter the Metal scene, and with a life story more Metal than all of us put together, I think it deserves a look. That guy was a special agent, a soldier, survived a bombing attack and six bouts of malaria, hunted nazi war criminals, played Dracula & Saruman, and was the oldest person to win "The Spirit of Metal" award. Lee worked with Manowar and Rhapsody of Fire, and later did two albums about Charlemagne, from whom he descended, or with the holidays approaching soon, you could opt for his Heavy Metal Christmas stuff instead if you aren't looking for something too serious.
Tank: "You might not get more reaction videos on this band, cause I'm not sure I can hold myself from rocking out to this on my own." Me: "Reasonable, and understandable. " 😁
Therion is an underrated band, creators of symphonic Metal with Haggard. Therion doesn't even have a front man, The singer changes depending on the song.
Best band from Switzerland! Helvetios never fails to fire me up. I think I might know some relatives of their tour manager as well... it's a small country! If you want to learn about HurdyGurdies, their current player Michalina Malisz has a RU-vid channel where she talks quite a bit about them.
I randomly discovered Eluveitie 10 years ago (god time flies) at a small local festival where they weren't even headlining And it was fucking awesome, and they've pretty much stayed my favourite band since then. Their take on the folk metal sound is just out of this world Don't wait, just get their entire discography and start blasting it, from the acoustic concept albums to their usual heavy duty sound, they don't have a single bad song
Please check out Cellar Darling, it consists of 3 ex-Eluveitie members and I like it so much more, it's so much more haunting. Perhaps check out their concept album The Spell. ( the visuals for every song are amazing ) Edit: I see you have heard of them, no excuse now :)
@@TankTheTech but what about "fiddlers green" a german band somewhere in the range of "flogging molly" which calls their style "irish speedfolk" even as a i feel the speed and irish parts were a bit lacking on the last 2 albums, but they have lots of older albums (first album in 1992) and coming album seems promesing for a song in that flogging molly range i would say "Bugger Off" (it even has a funny music video) more folk style would be there cover of "Boat on the River" from "Styx" and more irish would be something like "Star of the County Down" or "Rocky Road to Dublin" Another german band you can check out for something like Flogging Molly would be "The O'Reillys and the Paddyhats"
My mans headbanging so hard he ran out of breath. If you wanna hear something else besides the most kwnown of their songs i recommend Tegernako, Jezaig and Neverland.
May I point out that the female vocalist of this era is the highly talented Anna Murphy, all our favourite female vocalist next to Melissa Bonny - who has recorded several duetts with Anna, on her project right before Ad Infinitum, called Evenmore. Highly recommended!
Plz check out some Bands from Austria ! 1) The Sorrow -"Knights of Doom " or "Where is the Sun?" 2) Everlasting Dawn-"Faint" 3) Artas-"Rassenhass" 4)Norikum-"The Worlds Desease" 5) InDorsia-"Two Face" 6) Drescher-"First Blood" 7)Reset the World/"Forever Young" 8)Kill The Lycan-"Cronus" Have Fun ! Greetings from Austria!
The lineup change mainly involves Anna Murphy, Ivo Henzi, & Merlin Sutter, who left to form Cellar Darling. I think there were some others who left aswell.
Also Check out an Underrated folk metal band from Italy, it's called FUROR GALLICO....."Banshee" or "Canto d'Inverno" would be perfect songs to start with
Please react to Eluveitie's "Calling the Rain", and if you want to hear Anna Murphy (previous female vocalist) try "Slania' Song" or "Rose for Epona" or "Quoth the Raven". :)
Hey Tank! Nice reaction as always!! I consider reacting to someone you know quite well but not in this setup... Demons &Wizards: Fiddler on the Green live at Wcken 2019!! You may know one or two members of this band :) the ones Name is Hansi ;) the other one's is Jon (but I'm not aware if you know Iced Earth that well) Just watch it, listen to the lyrics and try not to freak out completely by the end of this song :) Keep up your good work!! Cheers
Love this band and Chrigels growls are so fucking good. You heard any Kvelertak btw? If not it'd be neat if you checked em out. :) Blodtørst, Månelyst or Nattesferd perhaps? :)
YOU should really really do a reaction on Frogleap Studios . Best are "beds are burning", "Africa" or "all that she wants" Thanks 4 your vids. have a great time!
Hey Tank! Love your reaction vids :) I think you should check out King of Asgard. They did a lot of great songs, but "The Nine Worlds Burn" is a great place to start. Hope to see it on the channel - keep up the great work!
If you like metal infused with traditional sounds, I'd suggest Whispered, specifically their strong "Strike" or "Jikininki". At the risk of sounding like a total Weeb; they're a Finnish band that uses Japanese styles and mythology as their base and I'd say it's done pretty damn well.
Dude... You need to hear the ex-Elveitie members band. It is awesome. They have the dense of the Nighthwish, the beauty of the Eluveitie but they are completely Prog Metal
Right up there with Eluveitie is a band called Ensiferum, which is from Finland, and has Finland let you down so far? I'm almost certain that Ensiferum will find a very special place in your heart since you like folk metal so much.
Dunno what your opinion on the bagpipes is, but if it's something you might want to try, I can heartily recommend Skiltron. Either Bagpipes of War, or Lion Rampant for sure.
Please react to its only them with Pain. Live we come peace. The frontman in Pain, Peter Tägtgren with Till Lindemann from Rammstein are the duo Lindemann. Peter write the music and Till the lyrics. Sorry för my bad English.
It’s really hard not to headband 🤘🤘🤘🤘. Maybe save a few songs of theirs for some reactions. Otherwise listen away and discover other bands through reactions
Time to react to some cellar darling then. The band Anna, merlin and ivo founded after they left this band (that's the line-up change you recognitioned). I recommend "black moon" from their first album.
Sprinkling in a few vids with recommends like you give Chase would not be innapropriate. Would be a way of getting things in that you just can't resist listening to.
Hey Tank! You definitely look like the guy, I'd go out for a beer with. Czech beer, acutally :D (I´m sorry for my bad English) Love your reaction videos :)) Greetings from Czech Republic
I miss when Anna was in the band i loved her vocals (perhaps i am biased because i found the band when she was in it lol) this band is always great though never disapoint! kind of like you tank never disappoint with the reactions!!
For another swiss Band, check out Gomorra(aka Gonoreas in the earlier days) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V_ieHTkfcKo.html Of course there are other Bands from switzerland as Breakdown of sanity(Comeback this year!) and so on
If you review another...you have to do Inis Mona ...its from 08 but they close every show with this song and it has so many gear shots that you would be able to break down and the sound of it is fantastic even still in 2020
Just do a string of reactions for all the Eluveitie vids you can find. You get to listen to more Eluveitie. We get a bunch of Eluveitie reactions. Two birds stoned at once!
I was fortunate enough to see them live before Merlin, Anna and Ivo left to form Cellar Darling and it was awesome. Because they were not supposed to be headlining, but were because Epica had to pull out of the tour, they performed an amazing acoustic set that hardly anyone wanted to end. The violinist with them on that tour was Shir-Ran Yinon, she had been with them for about two weeks and sounded as though she had been with them for many years, absolutely fantastic!
I remember seeing them that tour too. Epica pulled out, and as I understand it their replacement for Calgary was The Agonist. Eluveitie’s performance was so…. So good
As Eluveitie is one of my favourite bands it makes me happy how they resonate with you. Eluveitie is one of my many reasons why I love Hurdy Gurdy and I actually got my very own Hurdy Gurdy from Michalina's (their current hurdy gurdist) own hurdy gurdy project!
some songs for you: Ignea - Alga (official video has lots of gear) DOLL$BOXX - Take my Chance (lots of gear in this one too) Kobra and the Lotus (any song from them) Turisas - Stand up and Fight Kontrust - Butterfly Defect (live from Woodstock poland) or Sock n Doll (official video is one of the most oddest and greatest videos ever) Butcher Babies - I smell a massacre (official video has gear too) Semblant - What Lies Ahead Like a Storm - Become The Enemy (there is dude playign digeridoo that is on fire, do i need to say more) Battle Beast - King for a day
I have seen them live twice out here in UTAH, and they never fail to perform. I love this band so much. The second time I saw them, they played an all ages show, and Merlin gave my daughter his drumsticks from that night signed by everybody. Of all concerts I have seen in my 45 years of life, I have never respected anyone more than Eluveitie.
Hey Tank! Be amazing to see a reaction video to Amorphis- Silent Waters! It is my wife's (of 10 years now) favorite song and I'd love to show her! Awesome episodes BTW keep em coming!
man, this band is so unique...This is a good one to show to people that think all metal sounds the same...I love European metal in general...so much melody!
I think it's an easier music to understand and appreciate for people who just began to listen to metal too, with the melody, different instruments, etc.
I open up YT and again Tank with one of my favorite bands 🤘. Is it coincidence that you react mostly to European Bands? - or maybe YT is doing some semi-clever filtering in my recommendation list... Anyway how about a reaction to some US band next? Maybe Cattle Decapitation?
I really like your reactions Tank! I love Eluveitie, have for a long time! In looking at your video list, it seems like we have a similar taste in music 🎵🎶 I look forward to checking out lots more of your vids. 🤘🎸🙏
FYI: Your link to the Patreon page is not working. It is good on Sabaton - 40 : 1. You are missing the "com" after patreon. I checked a few other videos and had not noticed it like that on any of them.
If you want to hear something of theirs with a bit of a different style I'd recommend call of the mountains. Or if you want some older stuff I'd recommend Inis Mona
ok, ok, ok, ok, I get it.. let's have a deal Tank.. You can enjoy the newer stuff at home on your own, BUT ONE LAST REACTION for the channel, because otherwise you probably wouldn't find this gem.. Eluveitie - Havoc !!! Do it, tomorrow! :D
So glad you love them. Have got to check out Slania (2008), its my favorite album from them. Eluveitie are excellent in Folk Metal (w melodeath influence), but please consider checking out some OGs from Ireland, Cruachan. They pioneered the subgrnre along with 2 other bands in the early 90s. Ossian's Return or The Siege of Kinsale will do nicely.
I know this is an old video, but you sound just like me when I discovered Eluveitie. I had never heard anything with more perfect riffs that manage to blend metal with folk music at such a highly produced level. Still haven't found a band that I like better in the genre. When I first got into collecting vinyl records (not collecting for monetary value, just collecting albums I love) Slania was the first record I bought.
In the people I may know section of Facebook I have been seeing Chrigel, Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed and Doc Coyle of Bad Wolves/God Forbid. I feel weird trying to add them though, lol.
