Glad you liked this song, man! It's an absolute banger and Ronnie is a powerhouse. And yeah the first time hearing thing can be tricky for us musicians and techs, since we hear so much music all day everyday! Dig the comparison between the old and new as well
On Twitch Ronnie regularly expresses how "cringe" and "cheesy" he thinks some of the lines in this song and other songs of his are. He is proud of his work but he wrote them a long time ago so has obviously matured since then.
@@missymcguyver I'm guessing he's talking about "I feel like a lady who is pregnant with a baby cuz I'm always throwing up!" Cheesy but it gives the song character lol
The only line in this that's a little cheesy is the "feeling like a pregnant woman with a baby", that always makes me wince a little, but the rest is fucking genius
I watched the twitch reaction Ronnie did to this video. Excellent job man, he really liked you. Too bad he wasn't signed in or you'd have had his follow
The original was a classic banger but the revamp is something special, all the emotions. Fantastic reaction, thank you for taking the time to do this one
The "So God bless all you now" and that whole part of the song with him on that cliff edge has to be my favorite part. If not that, it's definitely from the moment he lays a newly resurrected, vampirised Paige on the couch till the end. Feels like a god damn $400 mil budget movie.
I’m new to Falling in Reverse. Like Voices in my Head new. Where the hell have I been all these years? I knew the name but yeah I don’t know why. I’ve spent the last 3 days solid back cataloguing their music and I am SUPER impressed. Like, wow!!
The original was a brilliant and I liked and played it alot. But this revamped version is just on another planet lol.... its just outstanding and the vocals. The video was just fantasic also. Wow.... you need like 5 minutes after watching just to collect yourself and wipe away the tears!
It’s crazy how hard it hits. The version ten years ago is I’m a rockstar and drugs/alcohol is fun and he’s being almost playful about it when he says “hi my name is Ronnie I’m addict”. And in this song, when he says that line it’s sounds so stripped, so tragic. You can tell how much he’s matured just by the delivery. Seriously it’s a masterpiece.
U got roasted by Ronnie haha, thats the biggest compliment ever. Fans will donate subs too get roasted , so wd . Thanks for reacting too both songs . The original is awesome , The revamped is just epic . This video won 6 film awards btw , well deserved
Good reaction. Definitely check out "The Drug in me is you" then "The Drug in me is reimagined." Same album as "I'm not a vampire." Very similar renditions, as in same song, same lyrics but take on a completely different meaning/feel on the reimagined version.
That’s what Ronnie said in one of his reaction to some reactions (Alex Hefner): people were saying he uses audiotunes and it doesn’t work like that. People need to know how to sing and then uses audiotune. You can feel when the singer knows how to sing. You feel it. This is so damn good man. Thanks to contribuite on this.
There isn't an autotune for feeling. Yet. I'm sure AI will figure out what combination of tones create a sense of feeling before long and record companies will flood the market with randomly generated 4-cord pop songs with nonsense lyrics haha. Cries.
@@j.f.fisher5318 I mean, aren’t they already doing that. Turning humans into pop star robots producing simple likable songs that offer little to no true emotion. Like you can tell the song wasn’t written by them, or for any purpose other than making money. I just hate a lot of pop music I guess.
The level of quality when you look at... No sorry, I just don't have any words for it, you can fill in whatever you want here. For me the new revamped version shoots straight up to the same level as "The Poet And The Pendulum" and "The Greatest Show On Earth". Cheers / B.
Ronnie's music got me through so much and to hear these songs remastered how they have been just makes me feel nostalgia but also it makes me feel powerful because not only has Ronnie matured and become a better version of himself, but I have too and the fact that there's these new old songs just makes me cry (happy years lol)
The first video is fun as is the original version of the song, but what is astonishing is how the same song can be interpreted as a piece of high film art in the second video which is dripping with atmosphere and emotion. Not sure what has made Ronnie look differently at his work. Maybe it’s just the perspective of age, but whatever it is, it is delivering on a whole other level and showing a depth and a breadth to his talent that will make a whole new audience sit up and take notice.
Hits you right in the feels. Ronnie definitely has a way with words. I never related to anyone’s lyrics as much as I do to his stuff. So raw, open, and full of despair. And you’ve got his heart- wrenching vocals and musical arrangements on top of it all. Damn! There are people out there who still give me funny looks when i say i like falling in reverse. Under appreciated musician. Great reaction, Tank!
1st video is more MCR etc. Revamped is more form the heart and is epic, and has the vibe of interview of a vampire . 1st time hearing both and it's 1/04/2022
You know I was looking back on your Falling in reverse reactions. You never did- The drug in me is you/The drug in me reimagined. I would love to see you react to those as well.
The part where he is on the cliff in the revamped version makes me cry every damn time. My absolute favorite part of the video. I love it all, but that part gut punches me every time. Great reaction!
Ronnie might not be the most famous famous singer in the world, but obviously he’s one of the best best. His singing skill, vocal and his range are just insanely unreal. Every time I listen to his song, watching the music video, I’m like how can this man do this how can this man do that. He can rap, he can scream, he also sings beautiful and hitting those high notes, not to mention the ability of putting those emotions in his voice. Even if he only got one of these singing talent he’ll still be an incredible singer. I’ve heard so so many singers singing, but RONNIE, this dude is literally at another level, you’ll never gonna find another man that can sing so differently in every song like him in so many completely different styles, and the fact that he always mix different styles perfectly is even more mind blowing.
I was like you, never herd of falling in reverse or Ronnie just because I listen to different style of music, than I found popular monster and after that I went down Ronnie rabbit hole😂 Keep up the amazing videos Tank! I hope Ronnie reacts to your video.
Popular Monster is what hooked me in - then the sort of John Carpenter synths in the 'Trilogy' cemented the deal. Then, since I'm ancient, the David Lee Roth vibe of the early FiR is fun, albeit not my core taste (wasn't in the early 90s, either)...
The biggest thing I like about watching your channel is that you let the emotion of the song take you over. That tells me that music really IS your PASSION! Music is everything, I don't think I have gone a day without listening to music in 5+ years if not more! FYI, if THIS song got to you, then "The Drug in me is Reimagined" will REALLY hit you! Stay well!
Ronnie is a beast. This is the way music is supposed to be. Ronnie puts so much feeling and power and sadness and heartbreak into his songs, you feel it in your soul. No song has ever invoked such a powerful reaction in me as this one. I felt that shit down to my toes! AMAZING!!!
I really appreciate all the little facts about the videos and the people behind them. Keep up the great work. I saw Chase had a roadie reactions hoodie...I want one! Lol
I'd never heard of Falling in Reverse until a few days ago when I saw a reaction to this song. I've never allowed my music tastes to be defined by genre, I love anything that you can feel the emotions from, and this has plenty of that. I've never really been a fan of screaming in songs, but this was masterfully done. Thanks for your take on it, great to see the passion you have for music. ^_^
When I first saw the revamped version, I had tears in my eyes and a heavy feeling on my chest. Fucking triple A. Love to see it makes the same impact to others as well.
I have just found your channel today and have watched all of my favourite band's videos you've done and it is a common thread with people who eventually get the chance to listen to Falling In Reverse where they say they underestimated what they'd get, both from Ronnie and the band in general. I absolutely loved Ronnie when he was in Escape the Fate but it took me a long time to start listening to FIR and I was in much the same frame of mind as you, where I went "I could have been listening to these bangers all along? What the hell took me so damn long," and I will always thank my friend Matt for making me really sit and listen to them, and I will be doing that for all of the people I meet who are into this rock and metal scene because I really do think Falling in Reverse is underrated.
So this is like the fifth time I’ve watched this and every time you say “I’ve underestimated” all I can think of is when Mr. Cheezle talks about climbing into the soul of an elk and “underestimating” Alex in Grandma’s Boy 😂🖤
I continue to get chills even though I've heard this song so many times. I don't even listen to this type of music, but I'll keep listening to this one. There's so much talent and emotion in this music video/song. This was amazing! Great review by the way!
❤️🤘🏼 I particularly love the fact that you openly admit that you underestimated Ronnie Radke. I love when people are honest. The original is so fun, the revamped version is brilliant. 🔥
That weeee-hellelelelel gives me goosebumps every time. I have a 3 hour falling in reverse playlist for my 5 8 hour shifts so I hear this version often...every damn time.
Loved that I found your reaction to this! My boys from Rykerroad did this a few months ago and I was just blown away. The versatility and talent of this man is insane. I said Then that he should do a Rock Opera on Broadway . . . . I'm 57 and would travel to see that! 💜🤘 Really enjoy your channel, thanks for your content, Cheers! 🍷🤗
Yeah, emotionally and mentally, I can relate to a lot of the stuff in this song with things I've gone through in my life. This is why I love music so damn much.
@@TankTheTech for sure man, i get chills no matter how many times i see the video or listen to the song. Keep up the good work man you have some amazing content!!
This is the first time watching your video.. LOVED your breakdown of the gear and your "Snippets" of information you provide during your viewing. Subscribed and can't wait to look at your previous videos! Oh.. and by the way, Your reaction was spot on the same as mine and nearly everyone's. Ronnie has matured and grown larger than life. Peace Brother!
Been a fan of Falling in Reverse for a long time and really love the remakes to old favorites. One thing that most reactors are not catching however is that the original guitar solos are getting redone with the orchestral strings or piano. That to me is the icing on the cake!
I am glad that you did the original version as well, since I did not see the original before now. Such a change and both are great for different reasons. It really was unreal. I hope you do the original and the remake! Also great info as always!
You gotta do a double reaction to their old song "the drug in me" and its remake in which he gave the song the same treatment he did here "the drug in me is you". The remake will make you cry.
happy people are learning how good he really is at so many things. i get goosebumps every time i hear the song from about half way through until the end
GREAT reaction , the research you do and knowledge of the band equipment is AMAZING , and I really like hearing about all the behind the scenes stories of your roadie career , excellent stuff brotha 🤘🏻😝🤘🏻
I've heard the revamped version so many times, and it still affects me so deeply and sometimes makes me cry. I loved your reaction and I love all the passion and effort you put into making this video
I totally appreciate what you said, he is truly.. I believe one of the best current composers or re-composers of this type that I can possibly think of. Kudos to Ronnie Radke and I appreciate that you revisit this. I'm a videographer... I did video probably before you were born so I always appreciate a well-put-together video storyline and superb musical prowess that's what this video had! Thanks for everything you do breaking down equipment used. ✌❤T.NoBoDY
Incredible reaction! Really love the effort and the facts you put up and the overwhelming genuineness and positivity! Ps: Ronnie Radke, the singer, reacted to you on his twitch.
I have quite a few people around me that have dealt with addiction and when he went into those screams the first time I heard this song I damn near started balling. Its such a powerful moment.
I love your fair and honest opinion. Excellent review and great song. I appreciated it more after listening to what you said about all the work that goes into it
First time finding your channel and really enjoyed your reaction! Especially the gear analysis which is missed by a lot of other reactors, I agree with you on the song, absolutely stunning and changed my view on what Ronnie is capable of as well, just a haunting video! Can’t wait to check more of your stuff out
Love ur reaction!! One of the best ones I've seen yet... seriously, loved how u showed ur true feelings and how u admit u underestimated Ronnie... ❤ please do more reactions to FIR, Ronnie is so talented and such a unique musician... I never heard of them b4 Popular Monster, and I so wish I would of known bout them yrs ago, but I'm making up for it now! Definitely check out Drug in Me us Reimagined.. ur gonna love it
Stumbled on this back on my FIR shit while on medical leave with an injury. Ronnie gets so much shit from his past STILL but holy fuck do i love this dude and his music he is a literal musical genius and incredible vocalist.
OK..... I am blown away. That will be the next Band joining my Playlist.... But, what a Difference between those two Videos! I find no Word for that. I have to search for Something... See you later.... Wth!
I know this is an older video, but holy shit you know your gear! I would hardly be able to see the difference between a guitar and a bass, and you see the different types by design. Really impressive!
I'd been looking forward to your reaction, and it hit me the exactly the same way. I always appreciate your insight and expertise, and I loved your take on this, even without the typical gear talk (on the new one). Thanks for all you do, brother.
Man, Tank, i recently found your channel and immediately sub'd. I honestly love your lever of imput and the knowledge you share. Really well done. thanx ! i'm surely sticking around !
Yessss listen to all of ronnies music. Its amazing. Go down this rabbit hole, so worth it :). Should try the trilogy if you havent yet. Losing my mind, Losing my life and the last one is drugs. And then just the rest of FIR songs, so good.
@Tankthetech his reason for the comment was your Violent Gentlemen shirt because they have a beef with him. There's even a short video on YT where one of the gentlemen runs to attack him while he is on stage rehearsing. Ronnie just steps aside like a dance move and the gentleman misses and falls to his face on the floor 🤣 🤣
You know Violent Gentlemen is a clothing line that anyone can wear, right? I know the owners of Violent Gentlemen, and neither of them know or have an issue with Ronnie.
@@TankTheTech I excuse my ignorance since it was a long time ago I saw the video of him. It was Savage Gentlemen. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mr25-ApZqio.html
Ronnie can be quick criticize/make absolute fun of reactors if it hits a cord with him. That's the artist in him, he's quick witted, but also emotional when it comes to his hard work being misunderstood by others, or dismissed. That's the main reason I think he really puts his full personality into his songs. . . he's showing you his vulnerable self, and really hopes people really understand him through his music. I mean he wears his heart on his sleeve all of the time. That's unique.
