No one plays guitar with the emotion and passion that David Gilmour does. he is an international treasure!

My man I enjoy the awesome realness of your reaction to Floyd- I’ve been listening to this music since I was 18 and now I’m 43 and it still gives me chills when I hear this song- it definitely is changing your life and you don’t know it yet but it will always stick with you your entire life- you said you wish you were there? Well that’s a perfect segway to the song “Wish you Were Here” from the self titled album Wish you Were Here- you’ve barely scratched the surface but there are many to be heard that you will say is you favorite song by them and next time you say the same to the next song and so on and so on

The first music I found for myself was Dark Side of the Moon when I was 13. I'm only 31, obviously they were well before my time, but something about their music always grabbed me and wouldn't let go. I love this song, but I'd never seen this performance, until this video. Now I watch it at least once or twice a week, and it brings me to tears every single time. Genuinely one of the best songs, and performances, by one of the best bands of all time. Thank you for not pausing

"Comfortably Numb" marked the beginning of my decades-long love affair with a well-played guitar. I was just beginning to actively decide for myself what kinds of music I liked & I was magically (it felt like) drawn to & enraptured by this album, and by the beautiful & haunting chords on this song, specifically. So grateful to have been young at the same time this album hit the radio. Thank you, Pink Floyd, for the mesmerizing music that was the backdrop to my teenage years! There is STILL nothing more musical to my ears than a musician who can play a guitar really well!! ❤❤

The lyrics tell a story, but the two guitar soloes at the end have you thinking of your own story. The emotions coming out of those guitar soloes are so deep and breathtaking, you can't help but feel what the guitar is saying to you.

Pink Floyd is my FAVORITE band!! Their music changed me as a person. I'm 30 so I knew I'd never see a pink Floyd concert. THEN Roger waters started touring! Yes it wasn't "pink floyd" but it was pretty fucking close!!!! It was "The Wall" concert. I was.... unno 25?! When the show started and Rodger Waters walked out on stage I literally started crying like the girls you see at Elvis and Beatles concerts! I was in the same building as someone from pink floyd! I could see him with my eyes in real life! It was a truely spiritual moment.

I was there, 21 April 1972, at the Lyric Opera House, Baltimore, Maryland, their third stop on the first US Dark Side of the Moon Tour. The album was released in the US on 1 March 1973 and in the UK two weeks later, so we heard it almost 10 months before its release. Amazing show. They were trying out the new Quadriphonic technology that was cutting edge at the time.

Dude, I know I am late to the party. I grew up listening to PF from 1981 to this very day. I missed out ever seeing Pink Floyd live. Two weeks ago I got an opprotunity to go see Nick Mason | Saucerful of Secrets here in Detroit. Nick Mason is the original drummer and his band plays very early Pink Floyd. Anyways, I procured a seat in row 5 center. I thought I was prepared... I WAS NOT, OMG I WAS NOT!!! From the opening note of "One of These Days" to the final note of "Bike" every molecule of my body was BOMBARDED by 100+ decibels of the greatest concert music ever known to mankind. I have a completely new level of love for all music Pink Floyd. If you get the chance to see Nick or David play live, get you a close center seat, it is worth every penny. It will change your perception on life. I highly reccomend " Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" extended live version by Nick Mason | Saucerful of Secrets.
