You are all fortunately blessed by the teachings of Phadhampa Sangyal & Machik Lapkidolma, I pay homage to Lama Wangdu la, & Lama Kunsang Thongdrol. May you all get the fruition of this great lineage of Shijey to benefit countless sentient beings. Sarvamangalam.
Hi. I'm a Buddhist from Brazil. I have a special connect with the Great Mother and the practice of Chöd. I would like that I could receive teaching from you. Lama Chenno.
Very happy to see this. This is the real chod practice. A practical short cut to realise the nature of mind. Am sceptic about how dudjom tersar chod is practiced in Bhutan. But really appreciate this ..
Yogi, my foot. Even a higher level of practioner also exist in Non-bhuddhist tradition including Islam. What kind of Yogi Tradition is this, without a single glimpse of Bodhichitta and the Wisdom of Shunyata.. Chod means engaging in the practice to uproot all the root of negative emotions. One doesn't become a yogi by wearing this robes, The real Yogi lives in the monastery, who engage in practice to uproot the root of negative emotions for whole Life. I take refuge in the Yogi, who stays in the monastery.... These are hippies
Buddha did not overcome the mind in a monastery. Working with the mind in a place where there is sometimes fear is much more difficult than in a cozy monastery. The mental formations that trouble us arise in daily life and the outdoors at night can challenge us with a primal fear of the dark. Also in chöd you visualize offering your body as food that turns into nectar for dieties and all sentient beings, how is that not bodhichitta? Chöd is also traditionally done in burial grounds in Tibet. Doing it in a monastery, while I am sure is beneficial, does not include the fear of being more isolated in a scary or uncomfortable location. Much more intense when fear is present.
