Mam, I cooked this for Christmas. It turned out to be a showstopper...your recipe is awesome and it couldn't be better timed. My long wish to cook a full roasted chicken was fulfilled and in style. Few improvisations I did purely for my taste, a) used a dutch oven b) put in baby potatoes and whole garlic inside the chicken cavity and c) cooked the potatoe sides with butter :). In all thumbs up to your recipe and thank you so much. Wish I could post pics too.
I tried this recipe. It came out very well. Roast / Steaming in a Kadai is an excellent idea and 15 mts on each side was more than enough. The Chicken was well cooked, soft and tasty. The veggies were a good accompaniment, and the sauce was delicious. Thank you Madam, your recipes are, as always, delicious.

a big fan of your cooking Smita ji but today i m a bit disappointed as the breast part surely has not cooked properly coz in other dishes when it sometimes get chewy how come with such small roasting chicken is cooked .....:(
