Soup is something people shouldn't fear. You can make soup from almost anything. I love roasting things to make soup since the process of roasting really brings out the flavors. What would you like to make a soup from?

Peppers, tomatoes and onions is a great base. Throw a bit of meat like chicken or beef and you have a very hearty soup.

The second batch we made for this episode was even better than the test batch with you. The bigger pasta made it a bit more hearty. 🍸🍸

I may not be a great cook, but I always throw together something to make soup. No cans for me. I will try this next.

And that is the best part of soup. Start with a neutral broth and just empty the refrigerator. Some of the best soup are happy left over accidents. 🍸🍸

Roasting over an open flame works really well. It is convincing people that it won't burn up and the popping noises are normal. Skin just falls away when it cools. 🍸🍸

Thank you so much 🤗 I am thinking we can make this camping. Roast the vegetables over the firepit to get some wood flavoring, then finish it in the camper. I may have to try that when we restarting camping next month. 🍸🍸

So Easy! Too bad it was in the Eighties today in Palm Springs! Truth be told... I would have loved to have been in Lambertville looking out over the River for this storm! (Scotty... beam me!) And not going to Hogwarts... well, you know. Kidding aside I loved how you said the sugar adds more tomato goodness! (instead of "it cuts the acidity")! Also, I was thinking about the leftover roasted bits. Any thoughts about what to do with those? Would they be a good base for sauce? Once again... Hittin' it outa the park youse guys!

Thanks Marty! Once all the liquid is strained, they've given their all and their job is done. They can go in the trash or compost.

@@martinkayne9675 Yeah, even if it has some flavor, there's a practical limit. It's all skins and seeds, and not very appetizing.

You are correct, this is not spaghetti sauce soup, its a light bisque with tons of tomato flavor. 🍸🍸
