We were visiting Berlin from Bombay and I didn't Google it enough as we were going to be there for a short time. I didn't know about the Barn. Luckily my wife found it somehow, told me you will like this cafe. Little did I know I was going to have the best coffee of my life. We happened to meet Ralf on a chance, or as he said in the video, he started talking to us. After a while he even gave us some samples. We didn't know who he was until he went which shows he is humble and down to earth. I thought I was the most passionate coffee guy until I met him. I wish I could be as passionate as him and one day open something akin to Barn in India. To this day even the beans that he roasts are unmatchable. I have ordered from around the world but nothing matches quality and consistency like the coffee beans from Barn. Sometimes I feel he performs a spell of magic on it, haha.
I was fortunate enough to try some coffee beans from The Barn a few years ago. Really interesting to hear about the owner’s journey in deciding to set up a speciality coffee shop business. Thanks for another great video. 👍🏻
Now you're putting me on the spot! In truth, I think there are just too many to mention here. But some that stand out for me are: The Coffee Collective, Denmark; Koppi, Sweden, Talor & Jørgen, Norway; Colonna, Bath UK; Assembly, London UK; Atkinsons, Lancaster UK; La Cabra, Denmark; Gardelli, Italy and many many more! @@EuropeanCoffeeTrip
Great job guys, I visited the barn this year when I had my visit in Berlin this year. Tasted their Mohammed Ali pourover and it really fascinates me. Tbh I don't have good tasting palette for tasting the coffee notes. But I can taste the flavour notes of their coffee. This year I decided to get a coffee subscription from the barn as my birthday gift. It's the best birthday present ever. Great job the barn and european coffee trip!!
There are no flavors added, it is a natural process of developing tastes from a quality green coffee beans. The length of roasting varies depending on the machine, density of coffee, etc. but I think it’s less 10 - 15 minutes (I am sorry if it is too general, I am not a roaster).
I just had decided to set an order @ the barn, but .... after seeing here the person behind and the behaviour .... oh no.... there are much more rosters who love what they do being more lovely and somewhat humble
